What Is the Philadelphia Eagles’ Current Playoff Picture?

The 13-3 Eagles own the No. 2 seed in the NFC after Week 17. Their loss to the Commanders put a real damper on their chances to get the NFC’s No. 1 seed. The Lions and Eagles did not play this regular season, but Detroit has clinched the head-to-head tiebreaker.

This is because the Lions are 10-1 in conference, compared to 8-3 in conference record for the Eagles.

Therefore, it’s impossible for Philadelphia to gain a game on Detroit without gaining a game on them in the overall standings. At that point, the Eagles would just have a superior record, and no tiebreaker would be necessary.

The Eagles have already clinched a playoff berth and the NFC East.

Can the Eagles Still Earn the NFC’s No. 1 Seed?

No. After the Vikings and Lions won their games during Week 17, the Eagles were eliminated from the No.1 seed in the NFC. Week 18 will now decide the winner of the conference as Minnesota and Detroit face off for all the marbles.
