Access the latest info involving the Eagles, including Darius Slay's hot take of Philly fans, a division rival's interest in Haason Reddick, and more.

Philadelphia Eagles News Today

As the Eagles moved on from one of their starting defensive backs, another one was making headlines with his words. Eagles cornerback Darius Slay voiced his frustration with Philadelphia’s fans on a recent podcast. All of that and more in today’s Eagles news!

Darius Slay and Steven Nelson Rip Eagles Fans for Being Too Critical

Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Slay was a guest on the “Corner Suite” podcast and didn’t hold back when talking about the fans in the City of Brotherly Love. Slay isn’t the type of player to hold in his frustrations and has openly voiced his displeasure with fans in the past on social media.

If the Eagles are going to turn things around next season, they’ll need Slay to play a crucial role in their secondary. He’ll likely return as Philadelphia’s top cornerback in 2024 and must turn his frustration into action for the Eagles to have success moving forward.

NFL Trade Rumors: Cowboys Interested in Haason Reddick, Would Eagles Trade Him to Division Rival?

While the Philadelphia Eagles contemplate the future of Haason Reddick, the Dallas Cowboys are reportedly showing interest in the star pass rusher. Would the Eagles actually trade one of their best defensive players to a division rival? Stranger things have happened.

Back in 2010, the Eagles traded quarterback Donovan McNabb to the Washington Redskins for multiple draft picks. If Eagles general manager Howie Roseman truly believes that the Cowboys will offer the best package for Reddick, he could be headed to Dallas.

Eagles Set To Save $14 Million on Salary Cap After Release of Kevin Byard

Byard was once viewed as a potential savior for Philadelphia’s defense. Yet after an embarrassing end to last season, the Eagles officially released Byard on Friday. It was an obvious move for Philadelphia to make, as it saved them nearly $14 million in cap space.

Now the Eagles will be tasked with addressing the safety position in a major way this offseason. Reed Blankenship and Sydney Brown are the only notable safeties on their current roster. Blankenship was a serviceable starter last season and Brown is recovering from a major ACL injury.

Former NFL Player Says Eagles GM Howie Roseman Should Have Fired Nick Sirianni

Following an epic collapse to end last season, many expected the Philadelphia Eagles to fire head coach Nick Sirianni. Former NFL wide receiver Brandon Marshall voiced his displeasure with the Eagles retaining Sirianni on a recent episode of the “I Am Athlete” podcast.

Marshall believes that Sirianni has lost the locker room and that all of the negative reports about Philadelphia’s building will only make things worse. Instead of firing Sirianni, the Eagles opted to make major changes to the coaching staff around him. Only time will tell if that was the right decision for Philadelphia to make.

Eagles’ Star Didn’t Know “What To Say” When He Met Two Hollywood Stars

As Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce continues to mull retirement, he was apparently starstruck when meeting two of Hollywood’s biggest stars this offseason. During the week of Super Bowl 58, Kelce met movie stars Adam Sandler and David Spade.
