Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill is one of the fastest players in the NFL, to no one’s surprise. During the offseason, fans have been wondering where Hill matches up against the fastest runners in the world. They were going to get their answer as American sprinter Noah Lyles and Hill were set to race until Lyles backed out of the race for personal reasons.
Content creator IShowSpeed has taken the media by storm for his speed, which ironically is in his name. He has been interested in racing Hill to see who is faster. After Lyles backed out, Hill took to social media to reignite his feud with IShowSpeed for a race.

Tyreek Hill Challenges IShowSpeed To A Race
Hill challenged IShowSpeed to race. IShowSpeed is fast, but Hill might be a new challenge.
“Hey @ishowspeedsui, since @LylesNoah is ducking from me…I’m free to race you,” Hill wrote on X.

IShowSpeed and Hill have exchanged blows recently over a potential race. IShowSpeed has challenged Hill in the past and expressed his willingness to race Hill at the Fanatics Fest this past weekend.
Hill called out IShowSpeed, congratulating him for his victories over social media star Ashton Hall but saying Hall could have won if he lost a little weight. Hill made sure to let IShowSpeed know that he is a different beast and not like Hall.
IShowSpeed and Hill have tremendous admiration for each other. But some friendly competition wouldn’t hurt, and settling to see who is faster would be must-watch entertainment.
While this isn’t the race that fans were originally bracing for, it would still be a great show. Hill would likely be the heavy favorite, but IShowSpeed is no pushover as he has raced Lyles in the past and held his own.
Lyles and Hill have had a more fiery rivalry, where the disdain runs a little deeper. Lyles finished a race, and on the back of his race bib was a message saying, “Tyreek could never.” Eventually, Hill and Lyles agreed to race each other before Lyles cancelled, leaving the door open for IShowSpeed. But Hill made sure to take a jab at Lyles for backing out.
Hill posted a tweet with Lyles’ face on Homer Simpson hiding in a bush after Hill recently ran a 100-meter dash and finished in 10.15 seconds. That is extremely fast for someone like Hill, but Lyles has run faster.
In 2024, Lyles notched a personal best of 9.81 seconds in the 100-meter dash. This is a big difference in a 100-meter race that Hill will need to find a way to make up if this race ever happens.
The Hill and IShowSpeed race seems like destiny to happen in the coming weeks, but time is running out. NFL training camp will be starting soon for the Dolphins, and Hill will be occupied from then on. He is recovering from an injured wrist, so it shouldn’t affect his ability to run against IShowSpeed or Lyles whenever these races take place.
Hill is looking for a bounce-back season after a rough 2024 and to help the Dolphins make the NFL playoffs again. He wasn’t his usual dominant self. After recovering from his injury, he should be back to his All-Pro self. Meanwhile, fans will be watching to see if the Hill vs. IShowSpeed race happens before the NFL season kicks into gear.
