Miami Dolphins Practice Report, Injury Update: Good News for Tyreek Hill, Raheem Mostert, Concern for Jevon Holland

Miami Dolphins point scorers Tyreek Hill and Raheem Mostert returned to practice Thursday, but a couple of big injury concerns remain.

The Miami Dolphins‘ Week 13 injury situation was never as dire as it looked on paper Wednesday.

But there’s still cause for concern for a couple of key players as the Dolphins continue preparations for Sunday’s game against the Washington Commanders.

Miami Dolphins Practice Report

Wide receiver Tyreek Hill (ankle) and running back Raheem Mostert (ankle/knee) were both back at practice Thursday after sitting out the previous day, per the Miami Herald.

Obviously, that’s great news for the Dolphins offense. Hill and Mostert have accounted for 48.3% of the Dolphins’ yards from scrimmage and 59.5% of their offensive touchdowns.

Hill, of course, cannot afford a week off as he continues his quest for 2,000 yards. But Mostert also has some individual statistical considerations. He enters Week 13 as the NFL leader in rushing touchdowns (13).

Meanwhile, concern grows for Dolphins safety Jevon Holland, who, according to the injury report, is dealing with injuries to both knees. Holland has missed both days of practice this week, raising the odds that he will miss just the second game of his three-year NFL career.

If Holland cannot go, expect DeShon Elliott and Brandon Jones to be the Dolphins’ starters Sunday against the Commanders, although Elijah Campbell could get some run as well.

As for the offensive line, Terron Armstead (quad) practiced on at least a limited basis for the second straight day, which is good news because his backup, Kendall Lamm, was not spotted for the second straight day on Thursday.

Armstead has pledged to play Sunday, but the Dolphins coaching staff has been far more noncommittal.

If Armstead and Lamm are both unavailable, expect Kion Smith to get the start.
