Dolphins Players Ecstatic About Odell Beckham Jr. Signing — ‘OBJ That’s Tough!!!’

Following the recent signing of a former All-Pro, several players on the Miami Dolphins are pleased with the arrival of Odell Beckham Jr.

The Miami Dolphins made another crucial move following the 2024 NFL Draft to improve their playoff chances heading into the new season.

Miami agreed to a one-year contract agreement with veteran wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.; OBJ is two years removed from a gruesome ACL injury in Super Bowl 56 that cost him the 2022 season. He is coming off a season with over 500 yards with the Baltimore Ravens in 2023 and can provide plenty of playoff leadership to a group in desperate need.

The signing of Beckham has also had a very positive effect on the rest of the Dolphins roster. Here are the most notable reactions on social media following the news.

Miami Dolphins Players React to Odell Beckham Jr. Signing

While the Beckham to Miami combination had been in talks for weeks, the final agreement came Friday morning following the 2024 NFL Draft. From there, a large contingent of current Dolphins players have made it clear that they support the signing.

Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle both will be working with Beckham in Miami’s high-powered offense. With OBJ’s emergence, the two stars could see more favorable coverages in their future.

But there are former teammates of Beckham’s that appear to be keeping the focus on the main goal. Jalen Ramsey, Beckham’s teammate on the Los Angeles Rams when they won Super Bowl 56, made it clear that his entrance to the team left one lasting goal in mind.

Hill, Ramsey, and Waddle may be one of the few who took to X to voice their approval of Beckham’s signing, but they weren’t the only ones working to bring the former first-round pick over.

Despite all the support, Hill did provide one (comedic) warning for his newest teammate.

    Dolphins’ Wide Receiver Depth Chart

With All-Pro and Pro Bowl skill players already on the roster, it’s not easy to figure out where Beckham will fit in Miami’s offensive unit. Hill, Waddle, and De’Von Achane already command much of the top plays in the offense.

There is still a role Beckham can fill on Miami’s depth chart, though.

Miami needs a third true receiver option behind their top two stars. With Beckham’s experience, he should be able to provide that kind of role well for the Dolphins in 2024. With Braxton Berrios and Malik Washington also serving as potential receiving options, Beckham’s leadership could prove important for next season as Miami tries to shrug off their previous playoff failings.

At least, that’s what many in the organization are already thinking.
