It’s no secret that the Miami Dolphins have dealt with a ton of change this offseason. They were forced to move on from several players due to their salary cap situation. Now the 2024 NFL Draft is quickly approaching and presents the Dolphins with an opportunity to revitalize their roster.

Things To Know About Potential Miami Dolphins First-Round Draft Target Tyler Guyton

As the Dolphins continue to plan for their future at left tackle, Pro Football Network’s Adam H. Beasley analyzed Oklahoma offensive lineman Tyler Guyton and his potential fit in Miami. Guyton only played offensive tackle at Oklahoma, primarily at right tackle. Yet if the 22-year-old is selected by Miami, Beasley believes that Guyton would initially start at right guard in Year 1 before replacing Armstead at left tackle in Year 2.

Can Dolphins Afford To Take Another Big Medical Risk in NFL Draft?

After losing both of their top edge rushers last season, the Dolphins could look to make a major move at the position in the 2024 NFL Draft. Beasley analyzed UCLA edge rusher Laiatu Latu and his potential fit in Miami. Latu is widely considered the best pure pass rusher in this year’s draft class, yet the neck injury that forced him to medically retire will certainly be a concern for many teams.

After Buffalo Bills offensive tackle Dion Dawkins took a shot at the city of Miami and the Dolphins, Armstead recently responded. While Dawkins stated that Miami was essentially Buffalo’s stadium, Armstead took the high road. Armstead stated that Dawkins was just talking trash and that he actually enjoys watching him play. Armstead believes the Dolphins have enough talent to beat any team in the NFL in 2024.

Yet, according to NFL agent Drew Rosenhaus, Miami’s fans can forget about the thought of the Dolphins selecting Alabama offensive tackle JC Latham. Rosenhaus doesn’t believe that his client is going to last all the way until the Dolphins are on the clock with the 21st overall pick in the first round.
