The 2023 NFL postseason is here! The Super Wild Card Weekend is filled with stars, but no matchup features more big-name fantasy studs than the game between the Miami Dolphins and Kansas City Chiefs.

A stack of QB Patrick Mahomes and TE Travis Kelce could be one of the best stacks of the weekend. Let’s find some fantasy football wins to start the NFL playoffs.

Miami Dolphins vs. Kansas City Chiefs Top DFS Picks on DraftKings

Travis Kelce, TE, Kansas City Chiefs ($12,600) | Captain

It’s no secret that Kelce has had a bit of a down season by his lofty standards. He finished 16 yards shy of his eighth straight 1,000-yard-receiving season by choosing not to play in the season finale.

His decision to sit probably came as a result of it being a meaningless game concerning postseason seeding and him being a bit banged up throughout the 2023 campaign. He’s dealt with knee and ankle injuries throughout the year, which made a week off heading into the playoffs crucial for Kelce’s outlook against the Dolphins.

His production recently has been pointing in the wrong direction, with just 88 yards and no scores combined over his last three games.

Still, expect Kelce to show up when it matters most in the postseason.

Patrick Mahomes, QB, Kansas City Chiefs ($11,800)

Speaking of showing up when it matters most, Mahomes has already made a compelling case for one of the best big-game quarterbacks in NFL history at the young age of 28.

Remember when we were talking about Kelce’s recent struggles? Well, Mahomes hasn’t been much better over his last five games. He has just six touchdown passes through his last five contests to go with five interceptions. To say his production recently has been underwhelming from the usual excellence we’ve come to expect from him would be an understatement.

Mahomes has 35 TD passes to just seven picks throughout his 14 postseason games in his career. Until we see him play poorly in the playoffs, then he can be trusted with the utmost confidence in your fantasy lineup.

Tyreek Hill, WR, Miami Dolphins ($12,800)

The former Pro Bowl WR of the Chiefs, Tyreek Hill has certainly proven how valuable he is to both his current (Tua Tagovailoa) and former (Mahomes) quarterbacks with his outstanding production of the last two years.

Since being traded to the Dolphins, Hill has averaged 119 receptions, 1,754 receiving yards, and 10 TDs per season, which is absurd.

Hill lost a crucial fumble when he faced his former team back in Week 9 and was held to just eight receptions for 62 yards and no scores in a losing effort.

Expect Hill to do everything within his power to pull off the upset at Arrowhead against his old squad and send the defending Super Bowl champions home early.

Jaylen Waddle, WR, Miami Dolphins ($7,400)

The Dolphins’ offense certainly doesn’t feel like it packs the same punch when either Hill or WR Jaylen Waddle isn’t in the lineup. Unfortunately, Waddle missed last week’s crucial game against the Buffalo Bills with the AFC East crown on the line.

DFS players will need to monitor Waddle’s status heading into the game while dealing with an ankle injury, but if he can return to the field, then he’s a great price point that needs to be in your lineup.

Marquez Valdes-Scantling, RB, Kansas City Chiefs ($1,200)

The big question for the Chiefs offense this year has been which receiver will let Mahomes down this week with a drop?

The answer to that question has been WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling on a couple of occasions this year, but he will still have a couple of opportunities to make some big splash plays down the field against Miami.

If he holds on to them, MVS could have a productive fantasy outing at a clearance-rack price.

    Kansas City Chiefs Defense ($4,200)

The Chiefs’ defense has been the driving force behind the team’s success in 2023, which — quite frankly — still feels weird saying.

There’s no doubt the Miami offense has all kinds of speed and is capable of running circles around most teams on the football field. We haven’t gotten a chance to see how that speed moves in sub-zero temperatures yet this year.

Temperatures are expected to be around five degrees around kickoff with a wind chill as low as -10 degrees.

Not to mention, Tagovailoa has thrown four interceptions and failed to top 240 yards passing over his last two games. I’m going to bet on the Super Bowl champs at home cooling off this high-powered Miami offense.
