    What Happened to DJ Moore?

UPDATE: Moore returned to the game on the Bears’ second drive, indicating that this was a minor injury.

ORIGINAL: On the Bears’ third offensive play of the game, Moore took a hard hit from Lions safety Kerby Joseph and remained down. While the exact nature of the injury was not immediately reported, Moore appeared to be holding his right hand.

Moore went to the blue medical tent for further examination at the end of the drive. Because the Bears punted the next play, it was not immediately obvious if he needed to miss further time. However, Moore did exit the tent and remain on the sideline, suggesting this is not a serious injury.

Fantasy Impact If Moore Is Out

The Bears’ receiver group has been intriguing, with three receivers all having 70+ targets entering this week. Moore leads the team in total opportunities with 87, but Keenan Allen actually has a higher target-per-game number of the two this season.

If Moore were to miss time, it would benefit the value of both Allen and Rome Odunze, as they would likely pick up the majority of Chicago’s targets. On average, Moore is seeing 7.27 targets and 0.64 carries per game. There is no naturally fourth WR option to come in and see an immediate increase.

The other player to benefit would potentially be Cole Kmet, who is seeing just 4.27 targets per game. If Moore were to miss time, Kmet could become an intriguing option for managers in the fantasy playoffs.
