Detroit Lions and Cleveland Browns impress, and Cowboys fall (Nosebleed Seats Podcast)

In this week’s episode of the Nosebleed Seats, the fellas go through some of the interesting NFL storylines of week 4. This includes the impressive games from the Detroit Lions and Cleveland Browns, and the bad performance of the Dallas Cowboys.

Detroit Lions and Cleveland Browns impress

If not for a game-winning drive from Patrick Mahomes, the Detroit Lions would still be undefeated and the talk of the town. Despite the loss against the Kansas City Chiefs and the tie to the Arizona Cardinals, the Lions could be getting more talk. They have been sneaky good, and that includes the close and uncomfortable wins against the Los Angeles Chargers and Philadelphia Eagles. Those wins were not the best, but the Lions have been better. They played a great game against the Chiefs, but ultimately the Chiefs took it home.

Jarvis Landry came alive for the Cleveland Browns in a win against the Baltimore Ravens. Somehow the Browns are first in their division, and the Ravens look like an afterthought. This was a game where Jarvis had 150-yards on just eight catches, and he wasn’t even the main topic. Nick Chubb was the star in the win for the Browns and showed just how dangerous the Browns rushing game could be. This game for Chubb is only one of the dangerous rushing attacks the Browns have. They still have Kareem Hunt when he comes off suspension.

    Dallas Cowboys lose on primetime

The Dallas Cowboys were not at their best on Sunday night. They lost to the New Orleans Saints in a game in which the Saints kicked four field goals. Dak Prescott threw 223-yards and a pick on 22/33 attempts and looked like Dak again. Even Ezekiel Elliott was off and had 19 rushing attempts for 35-yards and a 1.9-yard average. It was an overall bad performance from the Cowboys, and they were brought back down to earth. They will need to figure out what happened quickly as they play the Green Bay Packers this Sunday. This does get easy afterward as they face the Jets, Giants, and Vikings in the four weeks following.
