After a season that saw Derrick Henry nearly rush for 2,000 yards for the second time in his career, the RB looks to be making some off-field changes. Henry landed with the Baltimore Ravens and appeared to be the perfect fit alongside Lamar Jackson. Now, with Henry likely more than content in Baltimore, the Alabama product is selling some real estate.

Henry Selling Dallas Home After Missed Opportunity
Before Henry arrived in Baltimore, the running back expressed his interest in playing for the Dallas Cowboys. PFSN’s Tony Catalina transcribes Henry’s message regarding Henry’s message to hosts of The Pivot.
“I knew once free agency started that I wanted to work something out [with the Ravens] if we could,” Henry said recently on the podcast. “Even though I’m living in Dallas and Dallas being a perfect situation, as well, because we lived there, we ain’t got to move…”
“They ain’t holla at me at all,” Henry said when asked if Dallas was ever on the table for a potential move.
Now, as Henry becomes more comfortable with the Ravens, he has sold his Dallas home.

The 6-foot-3 RB appears to be turning the page on any potential for a move to the Cowboys. Somewhat ironic, given the Cowboys’ current RB situation.
Banter Between Henry and Cowboys Royalty
While Dallas and Derrick may have looked good together at one point last season, that ship has sailed. This is something that both Henry and the members of the Cowboys are aware of. The former Tennessee Titan joined the 2021 Defensive Rookie of the Year, Micah Parsons’ podcast, where the two discussed how the team nearly was.
The Penn State alumni did not hold back when asked whether or not he was upset Dallas and Henry did not reach a deal. Stacey Mickles of PFSN deciphers the conversations between Parsons and Henry.
“No, that’s not how God works. He was exactly where he was supposed to be. Year 8/9 of his career, still going for 1,800 yards, playoffs. He was exactly where he was supposed to be. I’m happy that he didn’t get ruined by us!’”
Henry continued to speak with Parsons about how the situation unfolded entirely. The five-time Pro-Bowler joked that Cowboys general manager Jerry Jones was unreachable in the process.
“Jerry Jones has my number blocked!” said Henry. “I couldn’t even call Jerry! Jerry’s got my number blocked.”
Perhaps after Dallas’ season, they may be ruing the decision not to team up with Henry. Regardless, the back is fully committed to Baltimore and making another run with the Ravens next year.
