On Tuesday, Nov. 26, Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders met with New York Giants general manager Joe Schoen and assistant general manager Brandon Brown while they were in attendance watching his team practice. While the exact reasoning behind their showing has not been officially discussed, many fans believe the two NFL executives were taking a closer look at Prime Time’s son, star quarterback Shedeur Sanders.
The Giants have been at the center of controversy recently for what many believe was their poor handling of former starting quarterback Daniel Jones. With seven games left in the season, the Giants decided to bench Jones in favor of third-string quarterback Tommy DeVito to ensure the former did not get injured and account for more money against the salary cap next season.
Coach Prime Talks to Giants GM at Colorado Practice
Schoen and Brown can be seen talking to Coach Prime while practice is taking place at what appears to be the Buffaloes indoor training facility. Although no audio can be clearly heard, the captured video is an interesting one that may hint at the future of Shedeur Sanders’ NFL career.

While this in no way means Sanders will be playing his professional football in the Big Apple next season, it does highlight how his standout season is being noticed by executives prior to the 2025 NFL Draft.
What Does This Mean for the Dallas Cowboys or Las Vegas Raiders?
In recent weeks, the Dallas Cowboys and Las Vegas Raiders have been heavily rumored as potential landing spots for the Davey O’Brien National Quarterback Award finalist. However, Schoen and Brown’s showing is a stark reminder to both franchises that their potential pursuit of Sanders won’t be without competition.
Sanders is in the midst of a noteworthy college football campaign with the Buffaloes and has recorded 3,488 passing yards, 30 touchdowns, and only seven interceptions until this point. He has also recorded four rushing touchdowns to add to his impressive tallies.
Projected to be selected in the first round of next season’s NFL Draft, Sanders has the skills and work ethic to succeed at the highest level of professional football. He possesses a strong football IQ and is an elite pocket passer who is able to read defensive schemes at the college level with ease.
Pro Football Network’s Owain Jones believes this will translate to a fourth overall selection to the Giants in his recent 2025 mock draft.
Though it remains to be seen where Sanders officially plays next season, it’s clear that he has gained the attention of numerous NFL executives.
