Deion Sanders Jr. made headlines with his behind-the-scenes support of the Colorado Buffaloes after their 48-21 win over the UCF Knights. He shared exclusive moments from the game on his YouTube channel “WellOffForever.”

Deion Sanders – ‘Proud of These Young Men’

The younger Sanders captured everything from equipment duty to hyping the Buffs from the sidelines. Dressed in a black T-shirt, the Colorado HC’s eldest son posted snaps on Instagram and captioned, “The rejected will be respected.”

The Sanders clan remains all in regarding the team’s success. Colorado’s Week 5 game took place after Hurricane Helene caused some delay, but the Buffaloes didn’t let it affect their rhythm for the game.

Coach Prime’s team cruised past UCF in its second Big 12 game after a tough conference debut against the Baylor Bears in Week 4. Coach Sanders was thrilled with the victory, saying postgame:

“We’re 4-1 going into the break, and I’m so excited, you have no idea. It’s gonna be a really good plane ride tonight.”

Sanders’ team has always seen its fair share of critics, given the NFL Hall of Famer‘s penchant for speaking his mind. However, the Buffs have been giving their response on the field, unlike the 2023 college football season, in which Colorado finished 4-8.

The Buffaloes’ performance has been remarkable, surpassing last season’s four-win mark in just five games. However, the Associated Press Poll awarded them a single vote in Week 6, and Colorado remains unranked for now.

After Colorado’s win over the Knights, the former NFL star couldn’t have been prouder. Despite the Buffaloes being underdogs, Sanders’ team dominated in every phase. His quarterback and son, Shedeur Sanders, shone bright, throwing for 290 yards and three touchdowns.

Meanwhile, two-way sensation Travis Hunter continued to make his case for the Heisman Trophy.

NFL great Richard Sherman was quick to praise Sanders. “Can we please talk about the job @DeionSanders is doing at Colorado!” Sherman tweeted.

The former All-Pro cornerback, now an analyst for Amazon Prime Video, was particularly impressed by Colorado’s defense, which forced four turnovers in the game.

But in true Prime fashion, Deion quickly deflected the spotlight to his players.

Sanders told FOX Sports, “We had tremendous walkthroughs and practices… offensively, defensively, and special teams. We played well at the same time collectively. I’m proud of the coaches, and I’m proud of these young men.”

With this win, Colorado looks ready to make some serious noise in 2024, fueled by Coach Prime’s pursuit of excellence.
