‘Completely Lying About Everything’ — Deion Sanders Jr. Brushes Off Latest Shedeur Sanders-Las Vegas Raiders Rumors

Coach Prime's eldest son Deion Sanders Jr. took to X, shutting down rumors linking his brother Shedeur Sanders to the Las Vegas Raiders.

Shedeur Sanders is one of the best bets an NFL franchise can make in the 2025 NFL Draft in April. The buzz around him is high and speculations are rife about him joining every other franchise, but his elder brother — Deion Sanders Jr. — put a halt on the rumor mill.

Deion Sanders Jr. Calls Out Account for ‘Lying’ About Shedeur Sanders

When it comes to shutting down rumors about his brother going to the Las Vegas Raiders, the eldest Sanders took to X (formerly known as Twitter), debunking claims made by the account NFL Rookie Watch, which suggested that the Buffs QB would not consider being drafted by the New York Giants or Cleveland Browns and is preparing to be selected by the Raiders or Dallas Cowboys in the 2025 NFL Draft.

“Bro is completely lying about everything he just tweeted,” Deion Jr. said, slamming the account for spreading false reports.

However, one can argue that the Sanders-Raiders speculations aren’t without probable cause. A few days back, the Colorado passer posted a photo of Allegiant Stadium, the Raiders’ home, on his Instagram story with the caption “Legendary.”

He was spotted unboxing silver and black Nike cleats with a personal message saying, “Thank you, God.” This also left fans convinced the Colorado quarterback has his eyes set on Sin City.

Coming to probability, the Raiders hold a 2-11 record so far. They’ll have a top draft pick on their hands, and with Sanders set to be one of the first names off the board, it could be a match-made-in-heaven situation.

Linking the Buffs QB to the Raiders is not the only thing that NFL Rookie Watch did. It also alleged that he would refuse to play for the Giants or Browns. This led to his dad — Deion Sanders, aka Coach Prime — to jump into the discourse, saying, “A Lie don’t care who tells it. Please stop trying to become relevant by misrepresenting my son. God bless you.”

The 22-year-old QB has had an impressive season, leading the Buffaloes to a 9-3 season. His ability to handle pressure paired with his arm strength and leadership qualities are notable. Contrastingly, the Raiders’ QB struggles have been an open book this season. Ranked 16th in the league in passing yards/game (223.9 yards) — Gardner Minshew II, Aidan O’Connell, and Desmond Ridder haven’t cut it for head coach Antonio Pierce.

After parting ways with Jimmy Garoppolo and testing O’Connell and Minshew under center, none have proven capable of leading the team long-term. While the Giants are also in desperate need of QB solutions, Deion Jr. made it clear that his brother hasn’t ruled anyone out, despite the rumors.
