Deion Sanders Endorses Shedeur Sanders To Be the Best QB in the 2025 Draft Class

Coach Prime and Shedeur are in New Orleans for the NFL Honors and the highly anticipated Super Bowl showdown on Sunday, Feb. 9.

While the father-son duo is busy giving interviews, Coach Prime’s appearance on “First Take” was special. He made a strong case for Shedeur, explaining why he’s the best quarterback in this draft class to a panel of analysts, including Cam Newton, Stephen A. Smith, and others.

Coach Prime emphasized how Shedeur has started every high school and college football game he’s ever played and is now ready to take the next step and play in the NFL.

“Shedeur has started every game in high school. Every game in college, except one, and he’s prepared for this next level, this journey that he’s about to go on. And I think he’s the most equipped.”

The Colorado coach further detailed how Shedeur rose through the program’s tough circumstances, including being sacked more than 50 times during the 2023 season. Deion shared that even with fewer resources, Shedeur stood there and delivered, and that’s why he’s the best one for the job for any of the teams.

“I think he’s the best one for the job for any city, and he’s the most equipped. A lot, oftentimes, we draft these quarterbacks that have been on these elite teams, now they get in a situation where it’s not as conducive to their success, and they choke. He’s always been up for criticism. He’s always been scrutinized. He’s never had the best-of, but he’s made the best-of. So I think he’s the most qualified by far.”

Coach Prime also mentioned how teams draft quarterbacks from elite CFB teams and how they struggle when put into situations that are not conducive to their success.

He further highlighted how Shedeur has always been criticized and scrutinized and how he’s never had the best of the situation, but he’s always made the best of it. Hence why he thinks the Colorado quarterback is the most equipped.

Along with Shedeur, Miami’s Cam Ward is touted to be the best quarterback in this draft class, and the two are in a neck-in-neck competition to see who will go higher in the draft.

The 2025 NFL Draft is set to take place from April 24-26 in Green Bay, Wisc.
