Dallas Cowboys, Dak Prescott, and Amari Cooper (Future is Now Podcast)

Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys are in a position of intrigue this season. The Cowboys have three main parts of their team without extended deals, Jason Garrett, Amari Cooper, and Dak Prescott.

Jason Garrett is the current placeholder at head coach for the Dallas Cowboys. At the same time, he has had some seasons of greatness from his teams. He has no contract extension and isn’t guaranteed to get one at the end of the season. His teams have not bee the best as of late, and he gets criticism from the league and NFL media almost every week. Garrett is going to need his QB Dak Prescott and the rest of the offense to step up if he wants a contract extension.

Amari Cooper was a nice safety blanket for the Dallas Cowboys last season and was a surprise pick up at the same time. While everyone thought the Cowboys would trade their first-round pick for Earl Thomas, they instead traded for Cooper. Cooper gave an excellent option for Dak Prescott and made the team viable on offense.

Dak Prescott is the key to the entire team success. Unlike Peyton Manning when his Denver Broncos defense dominated the league, the Dallas Cowboys need Dak. Dak is going to need to bring up his play and show the same play he did in his rookie season. Not only for a new lucrative contract but also to give “America’s team” success.

Questions from the podcast team
