Cowboys vs. Giants Prediction, Pick: Can Dak Prescott and Micah Parsons get another win?

One team has a lot on the line in this NFC East battle. What is our pick and prediction for Week 15's Cowboys vs. Giants game?

The Cowboys squeezed past Washington in Week 14, fending off a late comeback to take the win. The Giants fell way short of the Los Angeles Chargers, with Mike Glennon taking the snaps in the absence of Daniel Jones. Let’s take a look at the Dallas Cowboys vs. New York Giants Week 15 matchup, the NFL odds, and make a pick and prediction.

Dallas Cowboys vs. New York Giants pick, prediction | Week 15

  • Spread: Cowboys -10 (Odds provided by DraftKings Sportsbook)
  • Moneyline: Cowboys -510, Giants +375
  • Over/Under: 45

Although it was far from the perfect performance, the Cowboys held out for an important divisional win that all but confirms their place atop the NFC East. With only three games to play, the Cowboys are now three games clear of the Washington Football Team, opening up the gap with their Week 14 win. Barring a tragedy, Dallas should now wrap up the division, and they can do so on Sunday against the Giants.

However, the Cowboys have worked their way to their current 9-4 record in remarkably untidy fashion. While they may have beaten the Washington Football Team, they allowed them back into the game late. Dak Prescott threw 2 interceptions, and if it wasn’t for the heroics of defensive stud and almost certain Defensive Rookie of the Year Micah Parsons, Dallas might have dropped this game.

The Giants are searching for a positive

As for the Giants, it’s been an ugly season. Injuries have set this team back in a major way, and with Jones out for Sunday’s game against the Chargers, it was Glennon handling things under center. Glennon played decently, but a touchdown in garbage time made the game seem a lot closer than it was. Jones’ status for next Sunday is not yet known. But the quarterback is due for more tests this week on his neck injury, where it’s believed he suffered “structural damage.”

One positive the Giants can take from the game: Saquon Barkley continues to look healthier every week. Against Dallas, he contributed 64 rushing yards — his biggest rushing total so far this season — and another 31 yards in the passing game.

Dallas Cowboys vs. New York Giants betting trends

Dallas covered the spread by 0.5 points on Sunday, with a missed PAT leaving Washington spread bettors devastated and Cowboys spread bettors delighted. The cover puts Dallas a whopping 10-3 against the spread (ATS) for the season. That said, they’re 2-2 in their last four, after a solid start to the year covering spreads. The Cowboys are 1-6 on over/unders in their last seven games, squeaking the under on a 48-point total, with 47 points scored in the Week 14 game against Washington.

As for the Giants, Sunday’s game against the Chargers was the first game in eight where they managed to cover the over. New York is 4-8-1 covering overs this season, with the majority of those coming early in the year. The Giants have also lost three of their last four ATS, including Sunday’s game.

Cowboys vs. Giants prediction

This should be a cakewalk for the Cowboys, but we know they don’t like to make things that easy.

Sunday’s game made me nervous, but I also think it serves as a lesson to put teams away and ensure victories. Dallas has the division title on the line on Sunday, while the Giants are barely playing for anything sitting 4-9 at the bottom of the division.

I like the Cowboys to pull away in this one and force a poor performance from the Giants’ offense. New York’s offensive line will not be able to handle Dallas’ pressure up front. I’d also back the under. At 45, I can’t see the Cowboys scoring 30 points, and I don’t envision the Giants scoring much more than 14.

Cowboys vs. Giants Prediction: Cowboys 27, Giants 13
