Jerry Jones Shocks the NFL With Disrespectful Act During Jets Beatdown

Jerry Jones first assumed full control of the Dallas Cowboys in 1989. Since then, he’s held the position with an iron fist, ruling over every aspect of the organization.

However, he hasn’t been a popular customer within his fan base, thanks to some extremely questionable decisions that he’s made over the years. This season has been no different, with difficult contract negotiations with Micah Parsons dominating the headlines most of the offseason.

What once felt like an inevitable extension for a player on a Hall of Fame trajectory turned into a contentious battle with the franchise that led to Parsons being traded to the Green Bay Packers. Without his presence, the defense has been a mess to begin the season.

But as appeared clear following Dallas’ thrashing of the New York Jets in Week 5, Jones is only choosing to focus on the good parts.

    Jerry Jones’ NSFW Cowboys Celebration

With the trade for Parsons, Dallas was significantly skewed in just one direction. Without the centerpiece of their defensive unit, the team has struggled on that end this year.

However, that struggle has coincided with an offensive explosion.

With Dak Prescott having his best season in years and ranked No. 10 in PFSN’s QBi, the Cowboys have found a way to remain competitive in almost all of their games. Currently sitting at 2-2-1, their record could have swayed in either direction with ease.

But, their Week 5 outing was perhaps their most dominant showing yet. Dallas’ 37-22 victory wasn’t even as close as the final score suggests. Dominating from start to finish, Dallas made short work of the New York Jets, handing them their fifth loss of the year.

For Jones, though, it was another excuse to flaunt the team’s success over others. However, he may have taken it a step too far this time around. Cheering from the stands, a fan of the opposing team seemed to have caught Jones’ eye.

As a video from someone in attendance showcased, the long-time general manager of America’s Team proceeded to show the fan the middle finger, before pointing and laughing at him to add to his embarrassment.

The situation caught the attention of legendary Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant too, who took to X to add, “Quit playing with Mr. Jerry Jones. Go Cowboys.” The last two weeks have been cause for celebration in Dallas.

After going against Parsons’ new team and walking away with a tie despite the Cowboys missing their top offensive weapon in CeeDee Lamb, a dominant victory over the Jets clearly has Jones in an ecstatic mood.
