Big Stars Unavailable for the Cowboys as the Fans Have Their Say

For the Week 13 game against the Commanders on the road, the Cowboys have left more than $100 million worth of assets back at home. ESPN’s reporter Todd Archer took to X (formerly Twitter) to highlight this fact.

“With Zack Martin and Trevon Diggs out Sunday, the Cowboys will be without top five players in terms of salary-cap figures, totaling more than $100 million,” Archer posted

The fans at first couldn’t believe the state of the Cowboys’ money going to waste. However, they took their shots as well.

“Such a waste,” replied one fan.

“Well, looks like the Cowboys are paying for a Ferrari and driving a tricycle this Sunday,” another fan added.

“The Cowboys are playing the high-cost game of musical chairs this week, and it sounds like a few key players are stuck without a seat,” tweeted one fan.

“Good NFL teams are able to compete despite injuries,” one fan added.

“Get paid big money and go on vacation early. I wanna play on the Cowboys too Looks like at this point ANYONE can,” responded a fan.

“Does this shock anyone? This team and its players have quit,” tweeted another fan.

“One of his greatest skills, that he really brings to college, is that he almost has no peer as far as being a recruiter,” Jones said on “105.3 The Fan.” “Kids want to come play for him. And he has a way of selling that.”

“That is one skill, that recruiting skill, that is not a huge prerequisite for NFL coaches. One of his greatest values is in that area of putting the team together and getting great talent to come play for him there at Colorado.”
