Cooper Kupp’s Fantasy Profile for the 2024 NFL Season
Stacking a quarterback and receiver is a popular fantasy football strategy, and if you’re interested in the Rams’ offense, a Kupp/Matthew Stafford connection is quite doable.
Kupp is going as the WR17 in PPR leagues right now after finishing as the WR39 after missing last season’s first four games. In the weeks he did play, Kupp was the WR19.
In the 12 games he played, Kupp ran 395 routes, saw 95 targets, caught 59 of them, and had 737 yards and five touchdowns, per TruMedia.
Kupp saw just 18 targets in the red zone but caught 11 of them and had four of his five touchdowns there. He was targeted quite evenly across first, second, and third down, but caught three of his five touchdowns on third down.
Kupp has been a reliable option for Stafford for years now, and that showed in the time he played last season.
Of course, Kupp’s value took a hit thanks to his injury and the arrival of rookie sensation Puka Nacua.
Nacua played all 17 games. He was targeted 160 times, caught 105 passes, and went for 1,486 yards and six touchdowns.
Stafford still attempted 521 passes but completed just 62.6% of his throws for 3,965 yards, 24 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions.
Offensively, the Rams look pretty much the same other than drafting running back Blake Corum in the third round.
We should see Kupp and Nacua leading the way once again.

Is Kupp a Good Fantasy Pick?
Yes, yes, yes, yes.
Look, I get it. Kupp missed some time over the last two seasons due to injury, but he’s healthy this year, and the reports out of Rams training camp indicate that the offense has been running through Kupp.
Nacua will still be a fantastic wide receiver in this offense, but Stafford can do enough to support both. Tight end Tyler Higbee is on the PUP list, and there are really no other wide receiver additions other than rookie Jordan Whittington, who will be behind Kupp on the depth chart coming out of the slot.

Kupp offers plenty of upside. Despite his injuries and now being in his 30s, Kupp can still produce a fringe WR1 season.
Among receivers that saw at least 90 targets in 2023, Kupp was 28th in yards per route run with 1.87. This was ahead of Chris Godwin, DeVonta Smith, and Zay Flowers.
I expect Kupp to eat up a lot of receptions this season and work the shorter levels of the field. He and Nacua are a deadly combination.
Draft Kupp with confidence at his WR17 ADP. He has the upside to exceed it, and other than injury, I don’t see him finishing worse than this.
