Jayden Daniels, the former LSU star and Heisman Trophy winner, led the Washington Commanders to the NFC Championship this year but could not clinch the victory against the Philadelphia Eagles in a 55-23 showdown.
Daniels had one of the greatest rookie seasons in NFL history and was among the key players who contributed to the team’s success.
While the Commanders couldn’t taste the Super Bowl this year, Daniels’ mom, Regina Jackson, made a bold plea to fans to keep their spirits high and continue supporting the team.

Commanders fans were left heartbroken after the disappointing loss against the Eagles in the NFC Championship Game. However, that does not leave the controlling owner, Josh Harris, unhopeful about their future in the 2025 season.
Harris expressed gratitude for finally finding a franchise quarterback in Daniels during his postseason press conference on Monday (Feb. 3).
Harris made it clear that he doesn’t take this opportunity for granted to have a franchise quarterback and a team capable of winning games.
“We have a massive opportunity,” Harris said. “None of us are taking that lightly. We’re all fully committed to continuing to build our team and be elite over the long term.”
Talking about hitting the bullseye with Daniels in the 2024 NFL Draft, Harris and the team will look out for similar talent powerhouses like this year, too, “We’re looking for Commanders. We’re totally focused on improving our team from last year, and I think we’re gonna do that.”
Echoing Harris’ sentiments on the team’s future, Daniels’ mom also urged fans to keep supporting the men in burgundy and gold along with her son.
Let's not lose sight that this team made it to the NFC championship game. Keep supporting 5️⃣ and this team no matter what. Rep your Burgundy and Gold. ❤️💛 #httc #httr #Raisehail https://t.co/YUZN50Pzyq

“Let’s not lose sight of how this team made it to the NFC championship game. Keep supporting this team no matter what. We rep Burgundy and Gold,” tweeted Jackson.
Jackson is a very hands-on mom, to the point where she makes sure that her son does not get involved with girls who are just after his financial success.
“Girls, them girls,” Jackson replied when asked about what she worried about as the former LSU star prepared to transition to the NFL. “Some girl out here, she’s got a Jayden Daniels wall and her mama says, ‘Hey honey, you’re going to be the one to get ‘em.’ And I know that sounds crazy, but I guarantee there’s someone who’s trying to get their hooks into Jayden Daniels.”
Jackson further reaffirmed her motherly instincts and said that Daniels is lucky to have her because she’s never going to let it happen.
