Following another dominant college football performance yesterday, Colorado Buffaloes star dual-threat player Travis Hunter received strong praise from American rapper and celebrity Quavious Keyate Marshall, better known as Quavo.

What Did Quavo Say in His Post About Travis Hunter?

In a story released on Instagram yesterday, Quavo reposted a shared post by ESPN, ESPN College Football, and SportsCenter. The multi-million dollar rap sensation then proceeded to add the caption “HIM” before tagging Hunter’s instagram profile.

Shortly after the post became public, Hunter reposted the story to his social media page, highlighting his appreciation and admiration for the musician’s kind words.

Why Did Quavo Highlight Travis Hunter Yesterday After a Loss to the Kansas Jayhawks?

While the Buffaloes suffered a crushing loss at the hands of the Jayhawks yesterday afternoon, Hunter had himself another Heisman Trophy-worthy performance on one of the biggest stages in football. Playing at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, Hunter did not seem limited by the prospect of playing in one of the most hostile and difficult places to play for opponents.

On the afternoon, Hunter amassed eight receptions for 125 yards and two touchdowns while totalling seven tackles and one pass breakup defensively. Despite this ridiculous statistical line, the Buffaloes were unable to get the win against the Jayhawks, losing 37-21.

The loss for the Buffaloes is particularly crushing as it drops the program from second to fourth position in the Big 12 conference. With Arizona State and Iowa State both winning yesterday, the path to the Big 12 championship becomes much more difficult for the Deion Sanders-led football program.

However, for Hunter personally, his performance in yesterday’s loss advances one of the most noteworthy and impressive college football seasons of all time. Yesterday’s statistics bring Hunter up to 82 catches on the season, something that has seen him record 1,036 yards and 11 touchdowns in the process.

While his Buffaloes did not get the win yesterday, it is clear that Hunter is one of the most exciting football prospects in recent years and is garnering the praise of celebrities.
