Chiefs vs. Raiders prediction, pick, odds, and how to watch the Week 10 game

What is our prediction for Chiefs vs. Raiders, how do the latest NFL odds shape up, and what channel can you watch this Week 10 game on?

Making a Kansas City Chiefs vs. Las Vegas Raiders prediction this far in advance is tough, especially when these two teams are so hard to figure out. The Chiefs have been a conundrum all season long, and the Raiders are coming off a surprising loss to the Giants. In a crucial AFC West clash on Sunday Night Football, which of these two teams will emerge victorious? Let’s take a look at what to expect in this Chiefs vs. Raiders matchup, the NFL odds, and what channel you can watch this Week 10 game.

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Las Vegas Raiders prediction and odds | Week 10

  • Spread: Chiefs -2.5
  • Moneyline: Chiefs -145, Raiders +125
  • Over/Under: 52 (Over -110, Under -110)

One thing that we need to take into consideration for this game is how crucial it is going to be for the AFC West crown. Every team in this division currently has five wins. The only difference between first and last place is a single loss with two teams yet to have their byes. With that in mind, both the Chiefs and Raiders know how much a win in the division could be worth down the road.

With so much on the line, who can we trust between Derek Carr and Patrick Mahomes? Will the Raiders suffer from an after-loss hangover, or will they be able to get back on track? Have the numerous controversies surrounding the team finally taken their toll?

What about the Chiefs and their all-of-a-sudden anemic offense? Have teams finally figured out how to stop Mahomes?

The Chiefs’ offense has struggled as of late

Even though the Chiefs are coming off a win over the Packers, the offense still looked terrible, and they were lucky enough to be facing Jordan Love and not Aaron Rodgers.

Through nine games, the Chiefs are averaging only 24.6 points per game. That is below average for a Kansas City team that was sixth in the NFL last year with 28.5.

A big part of the problem for Kansas City has been Mahomes’ play. It is not so much his passing yards that are the issue (the Chiefs are third in the NFL in passing yards). It’s the turnovers. Mahomes has 10 interceptions this year, which is only 1 fewer than his previous two seasons combined.

While the Chiefs are averaging an underwhelming 12 points in their last three games, the Raiders are continuing to score, with an average of 27.7 points per game in that same period. Las Vegas has also brought in DeSean Jackson to help replace Henry Ruggs, and Carr continues to make strides as a passer.

Chiefs vs. Raiders prediction

I would never have thought that the Raiders would be competing for the AFC West title this far into the season. I also think most of us were under the assumption that with a better offensive line, Mahomes would take steps forward — not backward — in 2021.

This is going to be a close game. However, it being in Las Vegas gives the Raiders a slight edge. Sportsbooks have Kansas City as nearly a field goal favorite on the road. However, that feels like a number based more on the Chiefs’ prestige and not the team’s actual performance this year.

Chiefs vs. Raiders Prediction: Raiders 24, Chiefs 21
