This week on the Just the Start podcast, host Kai’Chien Chisholm discusses recent moves made within the Pro Football Network Podcast division and gives his full thoughts on the recent Odell Beckham trade between the New York Giants and the Cleveland Browns.
Did the New York Giants do the right thing? Kai’ discusses why he believes that the trade was a win/win scenario for both teams. The trade would not have happened if it was not for the lack of quarterback presence in the New York Giants locker room. Without a viable quarterback, the deal was easy for general manager Dave Gettleman. Remember, he was famously quoted for saying “we did not sign Odell just to trade him.” Was it the right move though? Even without a quarterback, one could argue that a talent like Odell Beckham Jr. is not tradeable. Giving him away sends a bad message to the Giants locker room.
Are the Browns set to win championships?
The only thing that is stopping them seems to be personality and coaching. How will newly appointed head coach Freddie Kitchens deal with the newfound personalities in his locker room? From Beckham to Baker Mayfield, will the personalities be the downfall for the Browns? With the ultimate goal of the Lombardi Trophy in mind, will this be an obstacle?
