Former Colorado offensive tackle Jordan Seaton was one of the crown jewels of the new Lane Kiffin era after a dominant January transfer portal window by the Tigers. Seaton was one of the most highly coveted players in the transfer portal and reportedly landed a massive NIL deal that insiders suggest could be worth between $3 million and $6 million to lure him to Baton Rouge.
Jordan Seaton Details Shared Championship Goals With Sam Leavitt
Pictures of a leaner Seaton have gone viral on various social media platforms, and while speaking to reporters, he revealed that he shares a national championship and NFL ambitions with talented quarterback Sam Leavitt.
“Yeah, I love Sam. It’s crazy, this wasn’t planned that we would go together. During the recruiting process, you wanted to make sure you had a tackle. When he came here and I came here, it was kind of a no-brainer for us,” Seaton said.

“We both had the same intentions. We both want to be a high pick, we both want to win a national championship. So everybody here has the same mindset.”
Leavitt was the No. 1-ranked quarterback and No. 10 overall prospect in the transfer portal when he decided to leave the Arizona State Sun Devils after two seasons. Kiffin intervened in his recruitment to ensure he landed in Baton Rouge and bolstered one of the highest-ranked portal classes in the country.
Seaton joined coach Deion Sanders’ Colorado as the No. 1 offensive tackle and No. 11 overall prospect in the class of 2024 and was an immediate starter for the Buffaloes. In the 2026 transfer cycle, he was the No. 1 offensive tackle and No. 4 overall prospect in the portal, adding shine to an LSU offensive line.
During a news conference last week, Seaton’s comments, echoing Kiffin’s statement about LSU’s culture compared to other programs, sparked widespread discussion, with some fans interpreting them as a jab at Sanders’ Colorado.
“When I left Colorado, I felt like I was at a good point, but coming here, the transition from how I eat to how we work out here is just kind of different,” Seaton said. “My decision to come here was based off, it just means more.

“Being here is really just different from how we train to how we work. We’re big on extra around here. Just doing what’s required is not enough.”
Despite playing on a Colorado team facing a down year, Seaton earned a PFSN College Player Offensive Line Impact score of 76.9 after allowing only five pressures and one sack on the Buffaloes’ revolving door of quarterbacks in 2025 before he sustained a season-ending injury.
