No. 2 Indiana remains undefeated this season, but wide receiver Elijah Sarratt is doubtful against Wisconsin because of a lingering hamstring injury. Sarratt missed Indiana’s last two games and, according to reports from Pete Thamel, is on track to return for the regular season finale at Purdue on Nov. 28. While not officially ruled out, it’s extremely rare for a player listed as doubtful to suit up.

Elijah Sarratt and Indiana’s Offensive Domination
Sarratt’s absence comes at a pivotal time. The Hoosiers sit atop the Big Ten at 10-0, with perfect home and conference records with just two games left. Indiana’s offense, led by Fernando Mendoza and Omar Cooper Jr., remains among the most potent in the country, posting 44.5 points per game and a +13 turnover margin.
Despite missing Sarratt over the past few weeks, Indiana still ranks second on the season in PFSN’s Offense Impact metric, with a 93.1 score and an A grade. They currently lead the league in points per game (44.5), first downs (262), passing touchdowns (30), and points per drive (3.69).

With a bye week after Saturday’s matchup, resting Sarratt now gives him two extra weeks to recover ahead of the Purdue game.
PFSN’s NFL Draft Analyst Ian Cummings broke down what Sarrat’s injury means for the team and the WR’s draft stock.
“If Elijah Sarratt misses this week’s game against Wisconsin, it’ll be three straight missed contests since tweaking his hamstring against UCLA. Sarratt’s durability hasn’t previously been an issue; he’s played in 45 games over the course of a storied four-year career spanning across three schools — so it’s unlikely that it’ll affect his stock too much. With a conference title game and CFB Playoff appearance on deck, the Hoosiers are smart to wait until Sarratt is 100% ready to bring him back to the fold.
Sarratt currently ranks as a mid-to-late Day 2 prospect in the 2026 NFL Draft, whose size, catch-point authority, and nuanced route running ability should make him a quality WR2/3 in an NFL offense.”
In eight games, Sarratt has caught 45 passes for 609 yards and 10 touchdowns, trailing Cooper Jr. by less than 100 yards for the team lead. He is ranked 35th in PFSN’s WR Impact metric, with a B- grade and 80.1 score.

Considering Indiana’s remaining schedule, keeping Sarratt healthy for the postseason run is the smart move.
