Elite wide receiver Ethan “Boobie” Feaster has become the hottest topic among college football enthusiasts, with USC as his chosen destination. The decision of Feaster to commit to USC surprised everyone, as he turned down offers from other rival NCAA teams like Alabama, LSU, and Texas A&M.
The 6-foot-1, 180-pound wide receiver from DeSoto, Texas, made his announcement during a July 4th ceremony that caused a lot of commotion among fans on different social media platforms who were wondering whether he would be faithful to the Trojans in the long term.

Feaster, who ESPN named as number 25 in their overall ranking and the third-best wide receiver in 2026. Feaster, who originally reclassified from the Class of 2027 to 2026 in February, told ESPN that USC’s offensive philosophy was a major factor in his decision.
“They’re going to put me in the best position to go in the first round,” Feaster explained. “I know Coach Riley, no matter what, he’s going to throw the ball and get it to his best player, and they’re always going to have a quarterback.”
The commitment was announced and further solidifies that USC has the best 2026 class under coach Lincoln Riley. With the commitment, USC now has 31 signed-up players.
USC receivers coach Dennis Simmons played a crucial role in getting Feaster on the list, who was impressed by the coach’s track record with NFL-caliber receivers. “I heard they do it better out west!” Feaster said when announcing his commitment.
Fan Reactions Pour in Across Social Media
The statement immediately generated different opinions among college football fans. On one hand, many expressed doubt about Feaster’s long-term loyalty to USC.
One user predicted, “He’ll be in the portal in 2 years,” reflecting widespread concerns about player retention in college football’s current era. Similarly, one user stated: “He’s flipping. No way you pick USC.”

However, ambiguity about USC’s recent performance dominated much of the discussion. “Better in what aspect? When’s the last time a western team won a title lmao.” One of the critics was in doubt based on the example that the national champion from the West was Washington in 1991, for the last time, that is, more than thirty years earlier.
USC Trojans Won National Championships 2 out 3 in 04 and 05. Almost won 3 in row in 06. So get your facts correct 1991 last time team out west won a Championship.
