The fantasy football playoffs are nearly upon us, and the time to make that final move to help you make the playoffs is quickly coming near. One thing to keep an eye on when making those decisions in the next few weeks is injuries.
As we get ready for Week 12, let’s take a look at some wide receivers and what their injury status is for this upcoming weekend.
Latest News and Injury Updates Impacting Fantasy
CeeDee Lamb, WR, Dallas Cowboys
Entering the game on Sunday, CeeDee Lamb was on a historic streak. He had three consecutive games with at least 10 catches and 150 yards, scoring two touchdowns in two of those games. However, he didn’t have quite the same numbers on Sunday, finishing with six catches and 38 yards, though he did get in the endzone again.
The Dallas Cowboys held just a walkthrough on Monday ahead of their Thursday game on Thanksgiving against the Washington Commanders. Lamb was on the injury report as questionable with an ankle issue, and he was estimated as a limited participant with his ankle injury.

If this were a normal week for the Cowboys, this could be a situation where he rests a lot during the week and then plays. The issue for Lamb is the Cowboys will be playing their second game in five days, and to expect Lamb to play may be a little too much. During a regular week, Friday’s participation is usually a good indication of players’ statuses for the game.
Keep an eye on Lamb’s status on Tuesday, as that will be a good indicator of whether or not the Cowboys plan on having Lamb.
Justin Jefferson, WR, Minnesota Vikings
There was a lot of hope that Justin Jefferson might be ready for the game against the Denver Broncos on Sunday, but it wasn’t meant to be. The loss to the Broncos was the first game the Minnesota Vikings have lost since the Jefferson injury. Minnesota was only 1-4 when Jefferson was playing but had won its last five games before falling to the Broncos.
On Monday, Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell talked to the media about the status of Jefferson and made it sound like he may not play next Monday against the Chicago Bears.
O’Connell said that Jefferson is currently questionable for the game, and he told reporters “[they] do have to be smart” about bringing him back. After the game against the Bears, the Vikings have a bye week the following week. This could lead the team to give him two more weeks of rest, making sure he is truly healthy for the stretch run.
With the Vikings back in the playoff picture, there has been a thought about rushing him back and getting him back. The Vikings, though, appear to be doing the opposite and are using this great stretch to buy him more time to rest.
Dontayvion Wicks, WR, Green Bay Packers
Wicks was a fifth-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft from Virginia, and he has been showing the Green Bay Packers that he has some potential. Wicks has had at least three catches and 49 yards in each of his last three games, but he had his best game of the season on Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers.
He had three catches for 91 yards, providing the Packers with another young talented receiver for quarterback Jordan Love. Late in the game, though, he suffered a head injury and landed on the Packers’ initial injury report for the Detroit Lions game on Thanksgiving.
Like Lamb, the fact that they are playing only four days after suffering their injuries means it will be pretty tough for them to be able to play. Especially for Wicks, who is dealing with a head injury and also a knee injury.
It doesn’t look good that Wicks will be ready to go this week, but we should know much more on Tuesday.
