    What Happened to CeeDee Lamb?

Lamb made a spectacular contested catch with 2:33 remaining, gaining 52 yards. However, he landed directly on his right shoulder after being tackled by a pair of Bucs and came up in noticeable pain.

The good news is that Lamb only missed a single play, re-entering the game and immediately bringing the Cowboys down to the 1-yard line.

However, Lamb has been extremely limited in the second half, sitting out the Cowboys’ first drive of the fourth quarter. Lamb has remained on the sideline, suggesting his availability, but the Cowboys are likely being cautious after being officially eliminated from playoff contention earlier in the day.

He did re-enter the game to open the Cowboys’ drive that began with 9:10 remaining in the fourth quarter, promptly drawing a pass interference to begin the drive. However it’s clear that Lamb is on a very limited pitch count given his current condition.

Lamb has been on the injury report since suffering a Week 9 right shoulder AC joint sprain vs. the Atlanta Falcons (the same game that Dak Prescott went down for the season). The Cowboys have held him out of practices here and there as a form of maintenance, but Lamb has played all 15 games to date.

The Cowboys’ top wideout was having a spectacular start to the game, reeling in five catches for 90 yards before departing. He was at six catches for 100 yards after catching a pass right after re-entering, but did not catch a pass in the third quarter.

Potential Fantasy Fallout From CeeDee Lamb’s Injury

The Dallas receiver room is thin, to say the least, and that makes replacing Lamb as difficult for fantasy managers as the Cowboys, especially with them officially out of playoff contention.

Should Lamb miss time, no receiver in this offense sees his value shift up enough to make him worth your while, and Jake Ferguson’s status as a streaming option doesn’t change either.

Rico Dowdle was the Cowboy you could trust outside of Lamb prior to this injury — that would remain the case after it.
