Former superstar running back LeSean McCoy has some hot takes on “The Facility” on Fox Sports, and the internet has some responses. Most recently, “Shady” openly predicted that Cam Ward would be a bust in the NFL because he was a zero-star recruit out of high school.

LeSean McCoy Has ‘Never Seen’ a Player With Cam Ward’s Pedigree Go No. 1
There are … thoughts about McCoy’s take, starting with Ryan Roberts on X, who said, “Example #1,000 why being a former player doesn’t make you a good analyst.”
Following his take that he’s never seen a player with zero stars in high school go No. 1 overall in the draft, several fans are aligned with Roberts’ take in that McCoy should go.
This sentiment among fans has been building over the last few days. On April 4, McCoy said Dallas Cowboys star quarterback Dak Prescott needs to find a realtor since Dallas acquired Joe Milton III. The callouts range from takes on McCoy’s nickname to denigrating his wisdom and knowledge as a former pro football player.
“There is no reason for LeSean McCoy to be on air. This take is Shady af,” said one fan.
“Lesean McCoy is truly one of the worst former pros turned analysts out there,” said another user.
Another person said everyone is “bored” of his bold takes, while another suggested he just says things to say things.
Others critiqued the show as a whole, saying it was the “lowest IQ show on TV.”
Ward is expected by most experts to be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Whether he is taken by the Tennessee Titans or another team that trades a package of picks to the Titans is another question.
Ward wrapped up the 2024 season, his only one with Miami, with 4,313 passing yards, 39 touchdowns against only seven interceptions, with a passer rating of 88.7.
McCoy is correct that Ward was a zero-star recruit out of West Columbia High School. He played at Incarnate Word, an NCAA Division I-AA/FCS school, where he threw for 6,908 yards and 71 touchdowns in 19 games in 2020 and 2021.
Ward transferred to Washington State before the 2022 season and threw for 6,968 yards, 48 touchdowns, and 16 interceptions before transferring to Miami, where he established himself as a prized draft pick in the eyes of most evaluators and fans.
For his part, Prescott is an established superstar with one of the biggest guaranteed contracts in the NFL. He’s only missed starts because of serious injuries and has been the Cowboys’ starter since he was drafted in the fourth round in 2016.
Milton, meanwhile, was acquired by Dallas in a trade on April 3. The New England Patriots sent Milton and a 2025 seventh-round pick in return for a 2025 third-round selection.
Milton started for the Patriots in last year’s regular-season finale against the Buffalo Bills. Playing against mostly backups, Milton played 61 of 64 offensive snaps and finished with 241 passing yards, one TD, zero INTs, and a 111.4 passer rating.
Dallas now has Prescott, Milton, and Will Grier rounding out their QB room and likely feel they don’t need to sign a backup or draft a developmental prospect. They have both in Milton.
As for Shady McCoy’s predictions, things will play out in real time.
