Caleb Williams’ social media activity has sparked rumors that the Chicago Bears may target Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty in the 2025 NFL Draft. The Bears hold the No. 10 pick and are in a good spot to grab the best player available after upgrading their offensive line.
Jeanty’s name has already been floated in draft talks, but Williams’ recent Instagram activity added fuel to the fire.

Caleb Williams’ Online Activity Adds to the Buzz
The idea of the Bears drafting Jeanty is now a hot topic, mostly because of Williams’ online activity. The Bears’ quarterback, coming off a strong rookie season, has been engaging with posts about Jeanty, which has fans wondering if he’s pushing for the move.
Williams recently reposted Jeanty’s TikTok and liked an NFL Instagram post calling Jeanty “a can’t-miss prospect.” That only fueled more rumors about Chicago’s interest in the Boise State star. The two already have a connection.
Earlier this year, Jeanty shared a photo of himself with Williams, adding to the speculation.
At the NFL Scouting Combine, Jeanty praised his meeting with Bears running backs coach Eric Bieniemy, saying, “It went great talking with Coach Bieniemy — talking football, talking life. It was a great meeting.”
Could This Be a Dynamic Duo?
Pairing Williams with Jeanty could give the Bears a serious boost on offense. Chicago hasn’t been known for having explosive playmakers, but adding Jeanty to a group that already features wide receivers DJ Moore and Rome Odunze and tight end Cole Kmet could change that.
The Bears also made big moves up front, adding Joe Thuney, Jonah Jackson, and Drew Dalman to strengthen the offensive line. That puts them in a good spot to get the most out of their weapons — especially in the backfield.
Jeanty was a star in college. He led the nation in rushing yards (2,601) and touchdowns (29) during the 2024 season, averaging 7.0 yards per carry. He racked up awards, too — he was a unanimous All-American, won the Maxwell Award, and took home the Doak Walker Award. His mix of power, vision, and agility makes him a dangerous weapon, and he’s a threat as a pass catcher, too.
If the Bears pick Jeanty at No. 10 — or trade down to grab him — it would show they’re serious about building a well-rounded, exciting offense. Williams’ social media activity seems to show he’s all in on the idea, and the Chicago faithful are now waiting to see if the front office feels the same way.
