The 2023 NFL postseason has finally arrived, which means not only do we have about a month of pro football left before the slog of the offseason, but we still have a chance to put together a winning DFS team on DraftKings for the Super Wild Card Weekend showdown between the Cleveland Browns and Houston Texans.
A stack of Joe Flacco and David Njoku are only a few of my top DFS plays for the opening game of the weekend. Let’s find some fantasy football wins to start the NFL playoffs!
Cleveland Browns vs. Houston Texans Top DFS Picks on DraftKings
David Njoku, TE, Cleveland Browns ($12,900) – Captain
Njoku hasn’t just been one of the TEs in all of fantasy football over the back half of the season, he has been the best TE in all of fantasy football.
Since Week 7, Njoku is the TE1 in PPR formats with 62 receptions, 720 yards, and six scores on a healthy 101 targets during that 11-game span. He has finally managed to put it all together, which finally has him living up to the high fantasy ceiling many believed he had all along.

To give you an idea of his high fantasy floor in recent weeks, Njoku has caught six or more passes in seven out of his last eight games, which is absolute money in PPR formats.
Start him as your team captain with confidence against the Texans.
Amari Cooper, WR, Cleveland Browns ($10,800)
The last time we saw Browns WR Amari Cooper on a football field was against the same Houston Texans defense he will be facing off against this Saturday. The results were nothing short of sensational. Cooper produced 265 yards and two scores on 11 receptions in one of the best performances of his lengthy NFL career.
Unfortunately, Cooper picked up a heel injury in the game, which led to him being inactive for the final two contests of the 2023 campaign. He should be good to go against the Texans, which makes him a fantastic starting option this weekend.
Joe Flacco, QB, Cleveland Browns ($10,000)
Flacco is one of the hottest quarterbacks heading into the playoffs.
He has thrown for a minimum of 300+ yards and 2+ TDs in four straight games, one of which came against the Texans, who he just so happens to be playing this week.
Flacco hasn’t exactly been playing the cleanest brand of football during this stretch, with eight interceptions and four fumbles since taking over under center back in Week 13 against the Los Angeles Rams. However, the big plays through the air have offset the turnovers, making him a quality start this week.
Devin Singletary, RB, Houston Texans ($9,000)
Many fantasy managers have been writing off the Texans running game for the majority of the 2023 season, but did you know RB Devin Singletary has been the RB9 in PPR formats since Week 10?
Sure, the matchup against the Browns defense isn’t an ideal one, but Singletary’s volume of work should be enough to have a productive game in the full PPR format on DraftKings this Saturday.
Xavier Hutchinson, WR, Houston Texans ($400)
WRs Robert Woods and Noah Brown both missed the season finale against the Indianapolis Colts while dealing with injuries. They are in danger of being inactive against the Browns heading into Super Wild Card Weekend.

If one (or both) misses a second straight game, then Xavier Hutchinson — who saw a career-high four targets against the Colts in Week 18 — would likely be in line for an expanded role.
Cleveland Browns Defense ($4,600)
Texans QB C.J. Stroud has been outstanding throughout the majority of his rookie campaign. He has been the catalyst behind one of the biggest year-over-year turnarounds in recent NFL memory.
However, Stroud has drawn one of the toughest matchups of the opening weekend of the NFL postseason. The Browns’ defense has been torturing opposing quarterbacks all season long. Cleveland has allowed an average of just 164.7 passing yards per game this year — the lowest mark in the league.
Stroud has a very bright future in the NFL, but he does not have a great fantasy outlook in his postseason debut.
