Shedeur Sanders, one of the top quarterback prospects in the 2025 NFL Draft, put on a show at Colorado’s pro day — and the Cleveland Browns were front and center to see it.
Amid lingering questions about his arm strength, Sanders delivered a strong response with a crisp, high-level performance in Boulder. Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski and general manager Andrew Berry were in attendance, and both offered public praise following the workout. With the Browns holding the No. 2 overall pick, their words carry weight.

Shedeur Sanders Impresses Cleveland Browns Brass at Colorado Pro Day
After the workout, Stefanski didn’t hesitate to highlight Sanders’ arm talent. “The ball came out super easy,” he said, noting how Sanders “put the ball on a rope” on multiple throws, especially those along the sideline. Stefanski emphasized that the quarterback’s ability to deliver from the pocket — not just relying on mobility — separates him.

One of the workout’s biggest moments was a 60-yard fade down the field to receiver Jimmy Horn Jr., capped with Horn’s celebratory backflip. Stefanski called the throwing session “very impressive” overall, adding that Sanders maintained velocity and precision even while on the move.
“You can see some of those throws on tape, and then you get to confirm it in person,” Stefanski said, clearly impressed by what he saw.
Browns: ‘No Concerns’ About Shedeur Sanders’ Arm Strength
Berry backed up his head coach, saying he had “no concerns” about Sanders’ arm strength. “He can access every area of the field,” Berry said, pointing to Sanders’ college tape and pro day performance as evidence.
He also praised Sanders’ accuracy, touch, and pacing. “It was very clean,” Berry added, referring to the overall consistency of Sanders’ throws and command of the workout.
Perhaps more importantly, Berry spoke to Sanders’ intangibles. The Browns’ front office had dinner with Sanders and Colorado teammate Travis Hunter the night before the workout and was impressed by both players’ maturity and leadership. “You can tell he’s wired the right way,” Berry noted.
Though the Browns continue to evaluate other top prospects — including quarterback Cam Ward and offensive tackle Will Campbell — Sanders seems to be rising fast on their draft board. With under three weeks left until the 2025 NFL Draft at Lambeau Field, Cleveland could be zeroing in on their next franchise quarterback.
Stefanski wrapped it all up with a message for Browns fans: “Tune in. April 24.”
