The New York Jets will face the Seattle Seahawks in Week 13. Here’s the latest fantasy football news and advice to help you with your lineups this week and moving forward, especially regarding RB Braelon Allen.
Is Braelon Allen Playing in Week 13?
Allen is not listed on the injury report this week, so barring any setbacks, he is on track to play this weekend.
We’ll continue to monitor the Jets’ injury report. You can also visit and bookmark our NFL Injury Tracker and Fantasy News Tracker for the latest updates.
Should You Start or Sit Braelon Allen in Week 13?
There are more things wrong with the Jets than I have time to explain (keep reading, I’ll try). In short, New York’s offense isn’t functioning at a level to support All-Pros, making it impossible for a rookie like Braelon Allen to carve out any sort of meaningful role.
The explosive Wisconsin product caught six passes over his first three professional games, but Allen has only managed to haul in four since and has a total of 14 touches on his résumé over the past three weeks.
Long term, I think there’s a world in which Allen takes a step forward in Year 2 to form a dangerous backfield with Breece Hall. Yet, without volume or splash ability (none of his 72 touches this season have gained more than 20 yards), there’s not much to see here.
As a handcuff — if you have the luxury, sure, but are we sure that there is a single role in Gotham City these days that is a lock to be fantasy viable?

PFN Insight on the Dolphins' Defense
The Miami Dolphins have had three different defensive coordinators in the last three years. Anthony Weaver replaced Fangio, who in turn replaced Josh Boyer. The net result of all that change has been a slight improvement year over year.
Boyer's defense ranked 17th, Fangio's was 13th, and Weaver's is now 13th. However, it's worth noting that the middle of the pack between ninth and 20th in these rankings are tightly grouped. Therefore, with some tough offenses on the horizon, this defense could move around considerably in the coming weeks.
Miami has capitalized on some soft matchups, with six of their seven top-10 finishes coming against bottom-tier offenses, with only the Rams being an exception.
In Week 13, we saw that the Dolphins' defense is still very vulnerable against good offenses. Facing the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field was always going to be tough, and that proved to be the case, as they ranked fourth from last. A combination of zero turnovers and zero sacks is always going to be an issue, and Miami struggled in almost all aspects of the game defensively.
The most impressive elements of Miami's play this season have been on third down (34.5%; seventh) and inside the red zone (50.0%; eighth). Overall, the Dolphins' performances have remained pretty consistent with last year. But in those key, potentially game-winning moments, they have taken a step up this season.

New York Jets at Miami Dolphins Trends
New York Jets
Team: The Jets might be a great college team, but this is the pro, and we play on Sundays:
QB: Remember the version of Aaron Rodgers that was in scoring position the second he stepped on the field? It’s long gone. Halloween was the last time he had a 30-yard completion.
Offense: New York picked up 56.8% of their third downs through two weeks, a rate that sits at just 34.2% since
Defense: The Jets have not intercepted a pass since Week 5 (Sam Darnold).
Fantasy: Garrett Wilson has been held at least 50% under his PPR expectation, given where his targets occurred in consecutive games (his two worst performances of the season).
Betting: The Jets have covered just two of their past eight road games in the division.
Miami Dolphins
Team: The cold weather narratives gained steam last week, so it’s worth noting that Miami’s season ends with games in Cleveland and New York.
QB: Should Miami just bank on Tua Tagovailoa from the jump? For the season, he’s completing 76.3% of first-down passes, a rate that sits at 84.8% over the past two weeks (28-of-33).
Offense: After averaging 29 points per game in Tua Tagovailoa’s first five games back from the concussion, the Dolphins managed just 17 points against the Packers on Thursday night (seven coming on a tipped pass that found Tyreek Hill with just over three minutes left in what was a 19-point game).
Defense: The Dolphins blitzed on one-quarter of Packer dropbacks last week and failed to record a single sack. They’ve called a blitz at least that often in six games this season and have failed to get home in four of those games.
Fantasy: The bottom line for Tyreek Hill fantasy managers worked last week (6-83-1), but don’t lose track of the fact that 40.4% of his production came on a tipped pass in garbage time that was meant for Jonnu Smith.
Betting: The Dolphins have covered 13 of their past 17 divisional games.
