The Buffalo Bills are looking to potentially shake up their offense a bit heading into Sunday’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at home.
Bills quarterback Josh Allen needs to have all of his available targets when going up against a fierce Buccaneers defense. Still, a move like this probably will raise some eyebrows from those who follow the team closely.

Bills Considering Major Changes on Offense
There is some information out on Saturday night that Buffalo is considering a move at wide receiver. According to a source, the Bills are going to have wide receiver Keon Coleman as a healthy scratch on Sunday against Tampa Bay. Should this happen, it will be a major shakeup in the team’s wide receiver rotation.
One thing to remember at this time is that Buffalo has activated wide receiver Mecole Hardman off of the Bills’ practice squad after recently signing him. With Hardman being available, making a move away from Coleman for Hardman would potentially be a seismic shift in Buffalo head coach Sean McDermott’s offensive schemes.
Coleman signed a four-year, $10,074,258 contract with the Bills, including a $4,146,732 signing bonus, $9,640,505 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $2,518,565, according to Spotrac.

According to the PFSN NFL WR Impact metrics, Coleman has an NFL WR Impact Score of 72.2 and grades out to a C-. On the season, Coleman has 32 catches for 330 and three touchdown receptions. Looking at the PFSN NFL Offense Impact metrics, the Bills’ offense has an NFL Offense Impact Score of 89.3 and grades out to a B+.
Hardman has played most of his NFL career with the Kansas City Chiefs. He also played for the New York Jets during some games of the 2023 NFL season before returning to the Chiefs. Last season with Kansas City, Hardman had 14 catches for 90 yards and no touchdown catches.

In his six-year NFL career, Hardman has 178 receptions for 2,302 career yards and 16 touchdown catches. What Hardman brings to the Buffalo offense is experience playing behind a stellar quarterback, the Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes, for most of his career.
Now, if he’s going to be out there on Sunday in Buffalo, then Allen will have a veteran wide receiver available to make clutch catches. The Bills also know that they will face a pretty high-powered Tampa Bay offense led by quarterback Baker Mayfield. Any offensive output that Hardman could bring will be a significant asset on the field.
