‘My QB1 Is a Bestselling Author’ – Eagles Fans Show Love for Jalen Hurts After Announcement of His First Children’s Book

Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles are still flying high after defeating the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl 59. Hurts was named the game’s MVP and thrust himself into the top-five quarterback discussion.

While that debate continues, Hurts has spent time this offseason writing his first children’s book, and Eagles fans took to social media to support their quarterback.

Children’s Author Jalen Hurts Receives Plentiful Praise From Eagles Fans

Hurts has been Philadelphia’s starting quarterback since his second season in the NFL. The team has made the playoffs each year with Hurts at the helm, including two Super Bowl appearances and one championship.

In 15 regular-season games last year, Hurts threw for 2,903 yards, 18 touchdowns, and five interceptions, while adding 630 yards and 14 rushing scores. His passing numbers don’t match Joe Burrow’s or Patrick Mahomes’, but Hurts is one of the league’s best signal-callers.

While the Eagles and Hurts are working to repeat as Super Bowl champions, the quarterback became a children’s author. It was recently announced that his first book, “Better Than A Touchdown,” will be released in March 2026, and plenty of Eagles fans reacted on X.

One fan responded to Hurts’ announcement tweet with, “my QB1 is a bestselling author.”

While Hurts hasn’t been officially labeled a bestselling author yet, that was a common theme for Eagles fans. One fan tweeted, “Super Bowl MVP and NY Times Bestseller, truly inspirational.” Another said, “New York Times best selling author .. coming soon.”

One fan was extremely supportive with their response to Hurts’ tweet, crowning the quarterback as a king by saying, “my glorious king what can’t you do?”

One of the best reactions was from a fan who tweeted a clip of Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie giving Hurts a kiss on the cheek at the team’s Super Bowl parade with the message, “Already ordered my 4 year old son one. Philly LOVES you, GOAT.”

That reaction was amusing, but there were plenty of heartfelt reactions that showed appreciation for who Hurts is as a person. One fan tweeted, “Can’t wait to buy it for my kids and some day my grandkids when I tell them about the greatest Eagles QB who ever lived. Thanks for all you do for the city and the team, it is really appreciated! Fly Eagles fly!!!”

Another fan happily tweeted, “LOVE IT!!! You can tell he’s gonna be a good dad already.” Hurts recently got married but does not have any children.

The quarterback is already a Philadelphia legend after five seasons and doesn’t look to be slowing down anytime soon. He’s conquered the NFL and now looks to conquer children’s entertainment. As one fan said, what can’t he do?
