‘The Most Embarrassing Team in the NFL’ – Bears Fans Want Ryan Poles Fired After Eighth Straight Loss in Blowout to Vikings

    Published on

Chicago Bears fans are fed up as their season turns humiliating. After eight straight losses, they’re calling for general manager Ryan Poles’ head.

The Chicago Bears’ season’s gone from bad to flat-out embarrassing. Having suffered their eighth straight loss, this time in a brutal 30-12 blowout to the Minnesota Vikings, Bears fans have had enough. And they know exactly who to blame: general manager Ryan Poles.

Frustration is boiling over in Chicago, and fans are demanding Poles be fired for assembling what they call the NFL’s most embarrassing team.

Bears Fans Demand Ryan Poles’ Exit

After eight straight losses, fans are calling for Poles’ head. With two extensive losing streaks under his belt (14 games across 2022 and 2023, eight and counting in 2024), tensions are quickly rising.

The Chicago faithful took to social media with blunt demands to “clean house” and start over.

One fan vented, “Ryan Poles has built the most embarrassing team in the NFL from scratch. It’s time to start over. Plain and simple.” The anger isn’t just aimed at Poles; fans want organization-wide change, including new ownership.

Another voice added, “Fire Ryan Poles. Hire a competent GM and let him pick his HC without interference.”

The sentiment reflects a fanbase exhausted by mediocrity. Every other team in the NFC North has at least 10 wins this season. The Bears are 4-10 after Monday’s debacle.

Some called for a full reset. “Sell it,” one fan posted. “Need to be completely replaced. Entire organization is done.”

Others emphasized accountability at all levels, blasting the Bears’ leadership as “malpractice” and urging for ownership to step aside.

“Admit there are unqualified people owning, managing, and coaching the franchise/team. Sell it and let someone(s) better financed, smarter, more savvy, and football competent in place. Present group is an example of malpractice,” one user commented.

Poles was once seen as the architect of a potential turnaround, but the Bears’ continued woes — on both sides of the ball — have eroded that trust. Calls for competency highlight the widespread belief that leadership change is the only solution.

For now, Chicago’s season remains a grim reality. As the losing streak continues and patience runs thin, fans are no longer willing to settle for “rebuilding.” Whether the front office executes or not, one thing is clear: Bears fans are tired of waiting.

Bears’ Coaching Search Hangs in the Balance of Poles’ Struggles

The Bears are walking a tightrope, and team president Kevin Warren knows it. Warren admitted that the next head coach could shape the organization for years. Yet, Poles — the man who brought in Matt Eberflus (a candidate for the worst coach in Bears history) — is set to lead the search again.

This decision has raised eyebrows across the league. According to the Chicago Tribune’s Dan Wiederer, a former AFC executive questioned, “What big-time coach is going to sign up, no questions asked, to work with Ryan Poles right now? If you are a serious candidate, you’ll need to ask yourself — and more importantly them — what is the level of belief in Ryan and where exactly does it stem from?”

Top coaching candidates may hesitate to join an organization where the general manager’s job security is shaky. Poles has only one year left on his deal and a draft record that’s been underwhelming at best.

If Chicago wants a “big-time” hire, it’ll need to address these concerns head-on. Otherwise, uncertainty could drive away elite candidates. For a franchise already mired in mediocrity, this hire can’t be another whiff, especially with quarterback Caleb Williams already in the building.
