A.J. Brown Reveals Eagles’ Secret Weapon That ‘Is the Reason Why This Team Stays Together,’ Won Super Bowl 59

The Philadelphia Eagles trounced the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl 59 to capture their second Super Bowl in franchise history. Boasting an elite offense and defense, the Eagles have one of the most complete rosters in the NFL. With offensive weapons like Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley, and A.J. Brown and defensive players like Zach Baun, Jalen Carter, and Darius Slay Jr., the Eagles were able to achieve the NFL’s biggest prize.

Somehow, none of these stars were the reason for the Eagles’ victory, according to Brown. It was the Eagles’ chief security officer, Dom DiSandro, better known as Big Dom. Brown declared that DiSandro was the reason for Philly’s togetherness and played a huge part in their championship run.

A.J. Brown’s Big Praise for Big Dom

It seems ridiculous that a security officer deserves as much credit as Brown is giving him on a team with all that talent. But Brown attributed DiSandro’s contribution to the team’s chemistry and camaraderie as essential to the Eagles’ success. Brown took to “Kickin’ It With Dee” to express his appreciation for DiSandro.

“I ain’t gonna say probably … Dom is the reason why this team stays together.”

If DiSandro’s impact is as big as Brown hypes it up to be, the Eagles better not let DiSandro leave for years to come. They should get the lifetime contract out, and the Eagles might be Super Bowl champions a few more times before it’s all said and done.

    Brown and the Eagles

Brown’s season was hindered by injuries, but he was outstanding when he played. In only 13 games, he tallied 67 receptions, 1,067 yards, and seven touchdowns. Notching over 1,000 yards in the amount of game time that Brown had is extremely impressive as only 24 receivers reached this tally in the whole season.

The chemistry was on full display between Brown, Barkley, and DeVonta Smith during their playoff victory against the Green Bay Packers. In an act of selflessness, Barkley slid down to ensure the clock ran out instead of taking the extra yards and scoring.

As soon as Barkley came to the sideline, Smith and Brown poked fun at him sliding down and were jokingly frustrated that he didn’t score. This is where DiSandro’s impact can be seen as Brown describes his impact on chemistry. The Eagles are a close group and will try to retain everyone to run it back.

The Eagles face a rough dilemma in this upcoming offseason as they will likely have to say goodbye to a key piece or two. They don’t have much cap space while Zack Baun, Josh Sweat, Mekhi Becton, and Avonte Maddox are set to hit the market. The biggest priority will likely be placed on resigning Baun after a first-team All-Pro season.

Outside of these free agents, the core is locked up for years to come. With none of the young pieces set to hit free agency until 2026 or 2027, the Eagles and DiSandro will be in the conversation to add to their Super Bowl tally.
