After winning the Super Bowl in 2025, the Philadelphia Eagles are hoping to repeat their success; however, their offensive struggles may stop that. Still, the team is 7-2, and the team looks extremely competitive, but one player is having enough of these offensive issues.
WR A.J. Brown and the Eagles Offense
This season, Eagles star wide receiver A.J. Brown is having a much different year than he has had since arriving in the City of Brotherly Love in 2022. At times, it even seems as if he goes missing throughout games.
However, it is not his fault, and these moments have prompted Brown to take to social media multiple times to express his feelings about the offense. For any team in sports, this is usually a distraction for the team and not what the front office, coaching staff, or players want to see from a fellow teammate.
Sometimes, higher-level members of the front office, such as a general manager, will step in and meet with a player to address concerns. However, in this case, with Brown, someone unexpected met with the player at an interesting time.
Per ESPN, Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie actually met with his star WR during Philadelphia’s practice to talk about Brown’s unhappiness and social media posts.

What Happens Next with Brown and Philadelphia
During the practice meeting, Sal Paolantonio reported that Brown had promised to minimize the social media posts, and the discussion ended well. Now, once again, the focus can be on winning football games and nothing else, but that still does not fix the Eagles’ offensive woes.

This season, per PFSN’s WR Impact Metric, Brown is #43rd in WR impact score, #43rd in yards/targets, and #38th in total receiving yards. When looking back at last year’s 2024/25 Super Bowl-winning season, Brown was ranked #3rd in WR impact score, #4th in yards/targets, and #14th in total receiving yards.
Clearly, there has been a fall-off in production, and this is also happening to other star players on the offense. Again, the Eagles are winning games and have one of the best records in the NFL, so another Super Bowl win is still within reach, but the offense will be something to watch throughout the playoffs.
