Skip Bayless Fires Shots at Aaron Rodgers As Steelers QB Stuns World With Bombshell Marriage Announcement

Skip Bayless is back at it again with another jab at Aaron Rodgers. This time, it’s about the four-time MVP’s surprise announcement that he got married in the offseason. Rodgers had a series on Netflix, but he’s known for keeping his personal life private. Some of his past relationships went public, but his latest one didn’t — until now, and Bayless had something to say about it.

Steelers Bet on Aaron Rodgers at QB, but It’s His Wedding Ring Making Headlines

The Pittsburgh Steelers are taking a gamble on Rodgers. The former Green Bay Packers and New York Jets quarterback is now part of Mike Tomlin’s team. With QB being a major need, the Steelers turned to the 41-year-old veteran who’s been in the league since 2005.

Lately, Rodgers has made more noise off the field than on it, and that gave Bayless an easy shot at the Steelers’ newest addition.

“Aaron Rodgers wore a wedding ring to his 1st Steelers press conference because he wanted the media to know he had pulled one over on ’em — got married a couple of months ago, without anyone knowing,” Bayless said. “Her identity remains a mystery. Now, if only he could still fool defenses.”

Bayless was clearly referring to Rodgers’ 2024 season with the Jets. He didn’t light it up, but it was still one of the Jets’ better QB performances in recent years. Rodgers has thrown 23 interceptions combined in 2022 and 2024, which is more than he threw from 2017 to 2021.

Rodgers has a Super Bowl ring, but a lot of people think he should’ve led the Packers to another title or at least a couple more appearances. His leadership is still a hot topic as he joins a QB room with Mason Rudolph, Will Howard and Skylar Thompson.

Rodgers is on a one-year deal, but depending on how it plays out, an extension or retirement could be on the table for the California native.

No matter how much the media pushes, Rodgers always seems to dodge questions. He became a lightning rod back in 2020 with his stance on the COVID-19 vaccine, which opened the door to a wave of media criticism. Rodgers has always kept people guessing, and this surprise wedding definitely got Skip Bayless talking.
