Aaron Rodgers on the Pat McAfee Show: Where and when to watch the NFL MVP’s appearance today

With Aaron Rodgers expected to reveal his decision regarding his future on the Pat McAfee Show, where can you watch or listen to the show?

Once again, NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers is set to appear on the Pat McAfee Show. And with the news from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers have agreed to terms on a 4-year, $200M deal, the NFL world will be tuned in for the reaction and confirmation that Rodgers will, in fact, return to the Packers. How can you tune in to watch or listen to Rodgers on the Pat McAfee Show today to hear the reaction?

When and where to watch Aaron Rodgers on the Pat McAfee Show

The time that Rodgers will be on the Pat McAfee Show has not yet been confirmed for Tuesday, March 8. The expectation is that Rodgers will be on the show at around 1 PM ET. However, the show will go live from 12 PM ET until 3 PM. So, Rodgers could join at any time during that period. Once it is confirmed, we will update this with the details.

Rodgers is no stranger to the Pat McAfee Show

This may feel a little bit like déjà vu. That is because two weeks ago, Rodgers appeared on the show after sending a cryptic Instagram post the night before. Many felt that message was a precursor to Rodgers announcing his retirement on the Pat McAfee Show the following day.

Instead, Rodgers used the appearance to tell NFL fans that there would be no news on his future at that point. Yet, this time the appearance has a different air to it. On March 5, Michael Silver reported that Rodgers was likely to tell the Packers his decision by Tuesday afternoon (March 8). And now, that news is now out there with the media reports that he will be returning to Green Bay.

We have also seen Rodgers make more headlines on the show in the past. After testing positive for COVID-19 in November, Rodgers went on the Pat McAfee Show to explain why he had decided to not get vaccinated and address the accusations that he had misled the media about that decision.

Rodgers has been a regular guest on the show this season. However, this appearance will be one to remember with all of the questions and uncertainty around Rodgers dating back to the 2021 offseason.

Why was everyone waiting on this decision?

The obvious part is the Packers’ future at the QB position. They drafted Jordan Love in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft, but they would clearly prefer to keep the two-time reigning NFL MVP on their team for the 2022 NFL season.

With Rodgers staying, Green Bay now has to decide whether they feel Love is the QB that can lead a franchise that, in recent years, has come agonizingly close to a return to the Super Bowl.

There is also the future of a number of Green Bay’s players that hangs in the balance. The franchise tag deadline is 4 PM on March 8. Davante Adams has been widely expected to get the franchise tag from the Packers this offseason. However, with his cap number set to be $20 million if he is tagged, the Packers have some big decisions to make on the futures of other players on the roster.

Now, the total value of Rodgers’ deal will determine the futures of the likes of pass rushers Za’Darius Smith and Preston Smith, who could both be released. Additionally, Rodgers’ decision could have an impact on the Packers’ ability to bring back pending free agents, such as De’Vondre Campbell.
