NBA legend Dwyane Wade is better known for his time and performance with the Miami Heat franchise. He put up a glorious display of sportsmanship that nobody could even come close to. He won three titles with the team in 2006, 2012, and 2013, earning multiple awards and accolades all throughout his tenure with the team.
Nobody even came close to his impact on Miami — nobody but one person, whom he feels is better suited for the best of the best title: LeBron James.
Dwyane Wade and His Humble Admissions on LeBron James
Wade feels he isn’t the greatest player to don the Heat jersey. Instead, he gave the title to James in a candid revelation on Wednesday.
He said, “I have the greatest body of work of anybody that’s ever put a Miami Heat jersey on. If you wanna be honest, LeBron James is the greatest player to ever put a Miami Heat jersey on, if we’re going off of that. I’m the greatest player in the history of the Miami Heat of the body of work that I had wearing that jersey, but I’m not the greatest player to ever put on a Miami Heat jersey.”
Dwyane Wade calls LeBron James the greatest player to play for the Miami Heat:

Wade and James played together for only four seasons, yet they had the best time of their careers in that short span. Bron, who is now 40, was the team’s leader in multiple ways, especially during their Big 3 era. He finished in the top three in MVP rankings every season he played with them, won back-to-back MVPs during 2012 and 2013, and won the Finals MVP awards in the Heat’s title runs in their Big 3 era. He delivered two championships and four consecutive Finals appearances.
Wade, on the other hand, had a storied career in Miami, leading them to three championships, earning Finals MVP honors in 2006, and becoming a nine-time All-Star. There’s so much he accomplished in an era that cemented him as one of the finest to don the Heat jersey.
Wade’s praise for LeBron is significant, especially since he knew what Bron was capable of. He willingly deferred from the team to accommodate him. In an interview in 2012, he said, “It was probably one of the hardest things I had to do in sports was to, in a sense, take a step back. A lot of people don’t understand. They’ll say, ‘Why would you do that?’ To me, I want more success from winning. I don’t want another scoring title. I’m just trying to win.”
A selfless move that helped Miami capture back-to-back titles.
