‘Delete the Whole Front Office’ — Warriors Land In Hot Water With Fans After Trading Away Rookie Koby Brea

Golden State Warriors fans took to social media to let the front office hear about their decision to trade away the 41st pick in the NBA Draft, Koby Brea.

The Golden State Warriors have been one of the premier franchises in the NBA over the past decade. Since the 2014-15 NBA season, the Warriors have won four NBA titles and made six NBA Finals. A large part of those championship runs was drafting top-tier talent, including Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, and Klay Thompson, who were starters in all four championship teams and all six finals appearances.

Golden State’s draft record has given the fans a lot of faith, even as the front office has changed since their peak. Fans were pleased with another Warriors selection when they took Kentucky guard Koby Brea with the 41st pick in the 2025 NBA Draft. However, that all changed when fans found out the Warriors traded Brea away to the Phoenix Suns, and they were not pleased.

Fans Upset At Warriors For Trading Koby Brea to Suns

Warriors fans did not hold back on their front office and management as they proceeded to trade away what many thought to be a draft steal in Koby Brea. The Warriors shipped Brea to the Suns, and fans let them hear it on social media:

“As part of a trade to be finalized later,, the Golden State Warriors have agreed in principle to trade the draft rights of Koby Brea, the No. 41 pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, to the Phoenix Suns” the Warriors PR team posted on X Thursday night, with fans sounding off in the comments.

“Delete the whole front office and coaching staff,” one fan stated.

“This dumb af,” another fan said.

“Joe, you should have fired the GM and the Coach and brought back Mike Brown!!!” one fan posted, referring to Warriors owner Joe Lacob.

“Warriors Front Office continues proving they don’t care if we ever win another chip,” another fan commented.

“Front Office is a joke,” one fan said.

Another fan even boldly claimed the Warriors’ Front Office to be the worst in the league after the trade, saying:

“The worst FO in the NBA and now what y’all picking Ryan (Nembhard) and Tyrese (Proctor)? F*** outta here, Koby was the right pick, he plays like Klay. If y’all want to be a** just free (Stephen) Curry,” the fan stated.

Golden State would round out the draft, selecting Alex Toohey with the 52nd overall pick and Will Richard with the 56th overall pick. The fanbase seemed to love Brea and did not love the decision to move him. Hopefully for the Warriors’ sake, Toohey and Richard play well enough to make the fans forget all about Brea, although if Brea ends up being a solid player, the fans might say “I told you so” forever.
