Even though the 2025 NBA Finals have wrapped up, Pascal Siakam is still making rounds in the news for his Game 6 rituals. Before the Oklahoma City Thunder went head-on against the Indiana Pacers at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse, it was Siakam who caught the world’s attention with these ‘demonic’ looking eyes.
The entire squad was in a huddle when Siakam lifted his head up, but his eyes weren’t shut. Enough sclera or white areas were visible on screen, making it look like he was involved in something entirely weird. Post that, Indy even won Game 6, making everyone believe that Siakam possibly did something pre-game.
Now that the Pacers have lost the finals in Game 7, Jaylin Williams’ girlfriend Alanna Harris dropped a subtle joke about this ‘demonic activity’ not working out for the team on Sunday.

Jaylin Williams’ Girlfriend’s Jab at Pascal Siakam’s Eyes
Williams’ girlfriend took to Instagram to post a carousel picture of herself and her beau in the arena after OKC won the Finals. In the first picture, Williams can be seen holding a bottle as he poses for the picture.
Subsequent pictures reveal Alanna hugging Williams after the championship, her posing with a few of her friends, and a shot of a trophy presentation pass against the backdrop of blue and orange confetti. She even posted a couple of pictures of just Williams, all happy, celebrating the win with the trophy.
The caption of this post is what caught people’s eyes (no pun intended!). It read, “NO ‘CERSSSSS Devil magic doesn’t work on Sundays”, followed by two lightning emojis and a hashtag ‘nbachampions’.

Cameras caught Siakam in this state during the National Anthem, as he rolled his head up. In reality, Siakam was actually praying with his team before the game. He comes from a Catholic family with strong values. Per the Indy Star, his father says, Siakam was supposed to become a priest after attending a seminary school, but he chose a career in basketball.
In an off-day interview on Saturday ahead of the final game, Siakam iterated his position in the media, saying, “I have this problem where I can’t really close my eyes. Sometimes I’ll be thinking I’m closing my eyes, but they are not really closed. Even sometimes having conversations, sometimes I look up and it feels like I’m thinking, and my eyes just go up.”

Despite his explanations, Siakam will forever be part of several memes across social media, with people calling him to be part of a cult or involved in some form of dark magic. Dark magic or not, he added 16 points and 13 rebounds in the Pacers’ Game 6 win.
“I’m glad people are enjoying it and having fun with it,” Siakam said. “Literally, I was praying and trying to close my eyes and I was thinking in my head my eyes were closed, but clearly they weren’t closed. That’s just all it is, really.”
Now that Siakam has gotten a lesson, maybe he will start taking care of the cameras better so these memes don’t repeat themselves next season. “I’ve got to do better,” Siakam said. “I’ve got to start doing this (covering eyes with hands) or I can put my head down and y’all can’t look at me no more. And the NBA with all these cameras, it’s too much, man. Get the cameras away from us.”
