Tyrese Haliburton Gets Candid on Breaking Multiple Records After Iconic 32-Point Night vs. Knicks

Tyrese Haliburton is smashing those overrated comments away after an epic 32-point performance in Game 4, but he explains his real intentions.

Remember when Michael Jordan got ‘personal’ with opposition players when they riled him? It looks like Tyrese Haliburton’s caught in the cross-fire between proving himself wrong for the overrated comments and winning a championship for the Indiana Pacers. All in all, he’s a bona fide superstar after his escapades in Game 4.

Draining deep three-pointers, coming up with those ridiculous no-look passes, and grabbing the boards like a man possessed, Haliburton’s heroics against the New York Knicks will forever be etched in the memory of every single Pacer fan. But he’s humble about it and wants to abide by his mission.

Tyrese Haliburton Unfazed About His Mind-Boggling Stats

In the post-game press conference, the reporters cited that he had zero turnovers and became the first man in playoff history to record those numbers with multiple assists and points. But Haliburton soaked it all in and delivered an epic response, “Nah, I didn’t know. I feel like we’re making up stats at some point to make me look better.”

Darting at his stat line, Haliburton raised the bar for point guards to be evaluated, concluding the game with 32 points and shooting 47.8% from the floor. He grabbed a career-high in rebounds with 12 and dished out 15 assists, with those no-look passes getting more attention than ever.

But Haliburton stays the ultimate team man by saying, “But I think I’m just trying to play the right way, man. I just want to impact winning. I told you guys that for the last two years, after the third year and getting the big contract, and now having step into a new role, I think for me it was just about how can I impact winning?”

Whenever the Knicks tried to cut the lead short, the Pacers kept their pace up and closed the game professionally. It was a total team grind, with the Pacers hurting the Knicks in transition by gaining quick buckets and scoring 22 fast-break points, forcing them to commit 17 turnovers.

Thus, at the forefront, Haliburton conducted the offense to his tunes, turning the volume up when necessary. He stated, “I am just trying to do that to the best of my ability. We’re building something special here. We’re having a lot of fun with what we are doing.”
