Jalen Brunson’s Sister Erica Drops Heartfelt 9-Word Reaction After Knicks’ Epic Game 3 Win

Jalen Brunson and the New York Knicks pulled off everything in their power to win Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals in an epic fashion.

Jalen Brunson and the New York Knicks pulled off everything in their power to win Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals in an epic manner. They managed to get past the 20-point deficit to lead NY into a victory lap, 106-100 over the Indiana Pacers.

The games so far seem to be a reinvigorated version of the ’90s Pacers-Knicks storied rivalry, adding a new layer with KAT and Brunson now looking like they’re villains in Indy. Adding to Indy’s misery is Brunson’s sister, Erica, who passionately displayed her support for New York.

Jalen Brunson’s Sister Is Among Millions of New York Fans

Soon after the thriller of a matchup was over, Brunson’s sister took X to drop in her most heartfelt reaction to the game NY was about to lose. She wrote, “I love this team and our fight. Go Knicks”, followed by two hearts – one in blue and one orange. The true spirit of NY Knicks.

She’s among millions of fans celebrating in New York, after the team managed to push aside all odds to reach the Conference Finals in over two and a half decades.

NY finished the regular season with a 51-31 record, helping them become the third seed in the East. They started to compete in the postseason with a strong campaign against the Pistons (4-1), earning a spot to fight against the reigning champions, the Boston Celtics in the Conference Semifinals. They pulled off a shocker by defeating Boston in 6 games, moving to the next ladder – the Conference Finals.

In the ongoing series against the Pacers, they are now 2-1, trailing their fourth-seeded counterpart. The series is far from over as the New York spirit is bleeding through, despite all odds.

The Knicks Make an Epic Comeback Against the Indiana Pacers

When NY entered the Gainbridge Fieldhouse for Game 3, they were probably ready for yet another stinker. They trailed by a major 20-point deficit in the first half of the game, with 3:07 remaining on the clock. They still wound up winners, clinching one of the biggest comebacks this postseason, most of any NBA team since 1998.

KAT took over in the last quarter to make this seem possible. He switched and turned their reality around with a great performance, as he entered the Q4 with just four points and ended up adding 20 more points by the end.

Overall, he pulled up 32 minutes for 24 points, 15 rebounds, and an assist. He also made 8-of-17 shots from the floor, 3-of-7 from the 3-point line, and 5-of-6 from the free throw line.

Brunson also came out with a strong bargain, living up to his aura with 23 points overall. But, even as everyone relies super heavily on him, Brunson was seen on the sidelines most of the time due to the five fouls he picked up.

Meanwhile, Josh Hart came on strong with his clutch rebound that he picked with roughly 20 seconds left on the clock, stopping Indiana on their quest to tie the game again. He had eight points in total, with 10 rebounds and four assists in the first game of this year off the bench. OG Anunoby added 16 points to the Knicks’ cause.

As for the Pacers, Tyrese Haliburton pulled up 20 points, shooting 5-of-25 from beyond the arc. But he still managed to get his team outscored 36-20 in the last quarter.

Pascal Siakam pulled off 17 points, but had a game-low minus-21 in the 35 minutes he played. Aaron Nesmith left the game in the second half because of the right ankle sprain he sustained after landing on Brunson’s foot.

Nesmith sat for 11 minutes roughly, with the Pacers losing 14 points by the time he came back on the floor to supply the team with his defense. After making it back to the game, he also managed to pull one 3-pointer on three attempts after shooting 10-for-12 from beyond the arc in the first two games.

The two teams now meet for Game 4 on Tuesday.
