On his way to an eventual induction into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame, free agent forward LeBron continues to look toward what appears to be his final stop. The 41-year-old continues researching, seeking the best possible fit for the upcoming season. With a handful of possible destinations in both conferences, James has not tipped his hand on where he will play.
The only known fact is that the four-time league MVP will play. As mentioned, speculation continues to surface, and buzz exists as many attempt to predict where James will land. One media member believes that only one of James’ potential suitors should be the favorite to acquire his services.
LeBron James Should Land in Miami, Asserts Nick Wright
Wright, a longtime talk-show host, is not new to offering strong opinions. With the rumor mill churning about the four-time NBA champion, Wright believes that Miami is the best destination for James.

“Right now, the Heat feel like the most viable option.” Wright stated. If you look at Miami’s current composition, you can see Wright’s reasoning. First, James would add to the already-strong front court of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bam Adebayo. With James at small forward, his strengths play right into Miami’s hopes.
For example, despite his advanced NBA age, he still possesses elite passing, particularly in ball placement and timing. Both Antetokounmpo and Adebayo finish well around the rim. Defenses still view James as a threat.
Both could be the recipients of wide-open chances at the basket. Next, if a defense wants to crowd the lane, James creates his own shot, showing the sustained ability to make outside shots. Wright doesn’t mince words when considering the date.

James could view the Heat’s championship window as a two- or three-year process, which few teams can match. This summer, the Philadelphia 76ers traded forward Paul George and draft picks to the Boston Celtics for Jaylen Brown.
On paper, the 76ers employ a deeper team that wouldn’t need James to do as much. However, Miami offers him one thing Philadelphia cannot offer.
For four seasons, the 22-time All-Star played in Miami. Also, he understands head coach Erik Spoelstra’s offensive style. Not to mention, James maintained a great relationship with Pat Riley, the team president.
Overall, no one truly knows where the icon will play. As the days pass, James appears comfortable with taking his time.
