James, armed with an elite resume, would fit in with most teams. More importantly, he still presents the athletic profile of a playmaker who can turn a good offense into one of the league’s best.
While James can turn an established title contender into even more of a threat, his court vision and presence could turn a very good team into a presumed favorite. Normally, when players reach 10-12 years of NBA service time, their skills dull. However, James has enjoyed about twice that much. One NBA analyst believes that one franchise would be the ideal situation for him.
ESPN Analyst Believes that Minnesota Would Be a Perfect Fit for LeBron James
Never one to mince words, ESPN NBA analyst Kendrick Perkins believes that James would be better served becoming a member of the Timberwolves.

First, Perkins, who won a title with the Boston Celtics in 2008, is expressing this strong opinion to James’ agent, not behind a camera but to his face, which underscores the gravity of his words. Next, his on-court points seem to make sense. Edwards loves to finish at the rim. As a result, someone with great passing skills would make shot opportunities far easier.
Likewise, for Ball, James’ role on the team would help him grow not only as a passer, but as a scorer. Already a gifted facilitator, Ball would receive better spacing as defenses would focus on James and Edwards, leaving him open for better shots. Perkins’ last assertion rings true. While the Timberwolves did part with Randle, James in the frontcourt provided an instant upgrade, regardless of his advanced age. In essence, James knows what it takes to win, especially in the postseason.
As a franchise, Minnesota never reached the Finals. James wears four championship rings to his credit. With young athletic talent and a veteran to guide them, the Timberwolves could become a problem for their Western Conference opponents.
