Reese recorded 18 points and 8 rebounds as the Dream made it back-to-back wins over the Fever on Saturday. This came after her double-double against Clark and co. on Thursday, where she scored 21 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.

As Reese notched up another career milestone, fans heaped praise on the Dream star.

“1,000 rebounds in 79 games, 10 games faster than the previous record. Angel is unbelievable,” wrote basketball analyst Nekias Duncan on X.

The “Hoop Central” also pointed out Reese’s historic run.

“BREAKING: ANGEL REESE IS THE FASTEST PLAYER IN WNBA HISTORY TO REACH 1,000 REBOUNDS. SPECIAL,” they wrote.

A basketball podcaster claimed that many basketball fans owed Reese an apology for underestimating her.

“A lot of people owe her an apology,” he wrote.

The “Real App” pointed out how Reese joined Shaquille O’Neal in an exclusive group.

“Angel Reese is the fastest WNBA/NBA player to reach 1,000 rebounds since Shaq in 1993,” they wrote.

FanDuel also chimed in with the news of Reese’s latest record. The record was previously held by Tina Charles, who recorded 1,000 rebounds in 89 games.

“The fastest player in WNBA history to reach 1000+ rebounds: ANGEL REESE – 79 games. She beats Tina Charles’ previous record of 89 games,” they wrote.

A basketball fan hailed Reese’s rebounding skills.

“She is such an incredible rebounder,” they wrote.

Another fan pointed out how Reese achieved this milestone despite the injuries she has had to overcome.

“I want to remind folks that Angel missed a lot of last year and didn’t finish her rookie year, yet she still accomplished this feat ten games faster than the previous faster player to reach 1,000 career rebounds,” they wrote.

However, one fan took a dig at Reese’s record.

“How many of those are from her own missed layups?” They wrote.
