LeBron James’ NBA future remains one of the league’s biggest storylines, with rumors swirling about the possibility of the Los Angeles Lakers star jumping ship to the Cleveland Cavaliers or Golden State Warriors in free agency.
However, the aging four-time MVP appears to be enjoying his early offseason, as he took to Instagram on Sunday and shared a clip of himself spending quality time with his sons, Bronny and Bryce, following the Lakers’ playoff exit.
NBA World Reacts As LeBron James ‘Gets Band Back Together’ Ahead of Free Agency
LeBron wrapped up his unprecedented 23rd season by giving it his all for the shorthanded Lakers, who were outclassed by the defending NBA champion Oklahoma City Thunder in a 4-0 second-round sweep.
The 22-time All-Star played out the season alongside Bronny, who showcased encouraging signs when given minutes during LA’s relatively brief 10-game postseason run, with Lakers superstar guard Luka Dončić (hamstring) out of action. Meanwhile, Bryce spent the college basketball season redshirting during his freshman year with Arizona.
In his Sunday Instagram story, LeBron was seen laughing and joking that he “got the band back together” as he poked fun at his and his sons’ freshly shaved hairstyles.
The Lakers community on X quickly circulated the lighthearted James family moment, sparking a mix of sentimentality and humor over the father-son trio’s similarities.
“LeBron, Bronny, and Bryce reunited 💜,” Lakers Lead captioned the video.

After completing his two-year, $101.4 million contract, LeBron is set to be an unrestricted free agent this summer. A third stint in his hometown, Cleveland, and a long-rumored move to the Warriors to team up with Stephen Curry are considered the 41-year-old’s most likely options, should he leave LA.
However, LeBron will have to weigh whether seeking a possible better opportunity to win his fifth title elsewhere is worth passing on a chance to finish off his illustrious career alongside Bronny on the Lakers. Selected No. 55 in the 2024 NBA Draft, the 21-year-old remains under contract with the franchise through next season, with a team option for the 2027-28 campaign.
