Four days after returning from injury, Joel Embiid has caught the attention of the media once again. Notorious for being one of the biggest complainers on the hardwood, he also often rants on social media, much like Kevin Durant. To make things worse, Embiid has also picked up a bad habit of flopping for fouls.
During the Philadelphia 76ers-Miami Heat game on Monday, Embiid clearly flopped several times. The NBA world couldn’t help but express its thoughts on social media.
NBA Fans Call Out Joel Embiid’s Flopping Against Miami Heat
During the first quarter of the 76ers-Heat game on Monday, Embiid was caught flopping on three different possessions. It started when he attempted to attack the paint at the 9:22 mark of the opening period.
The Heat’s Bam Adebayo kept his hands up the whole time while Embiid was trying to initiate contact and fell to the ground for added drama. Unfortunately for Embiid, he didn’t get the foul call.
Then, with 7:33 remaining, Embiid tried initiating contact again against Adebayo; however, the Heat forward cleanly kept his hands up, avoiding another foul call.
Finally, at the 6:28 mark, Embiid attempted a jump shot and positioned his arms to make it seem like he got hit, despite clearly having no contact with his defender.
